I have a problem with a spreadsheet I made it worked fine for 3-4 years and one day I opened it and it had changed. I have searched the internet forums and youtube no one has ever heard of the problem I found.
When I created and added data this is how it worked enter data in cell; enter comment for cell;
enter data in comment cell; hover mouse over cell it shows comment cell with data in it beside the associated cell; edit comment cell, comment cell opens right beside associated cell with a short line between the cell and comment cell; can add
data into comment cell. save
then it changed on the whole spread sheet
now the thing that changed is when I edit a comment cell to add data the short line pointing to the associated cell before is not short any more it is 12 to 15 inches long making the insert comment cell on another page away from the associated cell; I can insert data and drag the insert comment cell back to the side of the associated cell and it is ok. the main problem is every cell changed at on time now every time I edit a cell I have to move it back close to the associated cell. I do not know of a way to correct it over the entire sheet or what caused it to happen. Thanks for any
 
Sounds like there may be an auto-expand option you have enabled.

Have you tried posting in UtterAccess.com? I use that forum all the time for microsoft office stuff. Very knowledgeable people there.

I had not found that site/forum to post my question. I had emailed a guy today and his answer was there may be to many comments on the spread sheet.
the third time I read the Bible I made a spread sheet of all the important things I found and some things I found interesting.
in the left was the subject and the columns b thru e were used to put the book,chapter,verse and In the add comment box is the actual verses from the bible. It helps me because if some one is talking about a subject and I remember what I read but not where I read it the I can find it on my spread sheet. they say memory is the first to go and for me its pretty much gone
 
Interesting setup, though as it grows it can become rather cumbersome to maintain. Have you tried using a program like e-sword, which has a very powerful search function?
