often i think about the past, cuz i see my country not going anywhere good with the election of osama....i mean obama! and i just dont feel safe anymore or that i feel that i am living in a Christian nation. i feel like wish contantly that i could go back in time and get away from all of todays weirdness. i wish that i could go back to either the little house times or that even the 40's/50's. i just want to get away from todays weirdness, being critisized for standing up for my Faith (look at whats happening with miss california, tell me THAT isnt screwed up) and not fitting in with my age group. i just cant take it anymore, i need to build a time machine or something. anyone got a flux capaciter?

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence - until you cross that fence and step in the same crap that is on the side your on now! You were born in the time God said you to be born. God knows what He is doing. Too many looking at the past as if it was so good. Wake up friend. Was not that good. Many of the same problems we had back then are just being repeated now. If our past was so great we would want to stay there and we are not willing to do that. Let's just speak about you going back to the past for the sake of argument. What better time is there then now for someone to get off their butt and speak out against to errors of today then NOW? The past is not where you are needed it is NOW. Too many believers think hard times are to be avoided instead of embraced. I mean if you want to go to the 50's or 40's - let's hope you are not female or black or even Jewish ---- Right? Good times huh?

I have found my home, and church to be my sanctuary, and my [time zone] in decor [seems to be western], along with artwork that remind me of the heavenly's. Though I changed my [time zone] decor to something else, but it has slowly dwindled back to western....hummm. So create your surroundings to your liking, and leave the secular world outside the door, it's bad enough we have to function in it with jobs, grocery shopping and paying bills, and all the other garbage going on in the world. I got my own little world going on in my house, and God got me in the palm of HIS hand, and when ever the oppotunity comes to win another one over to Christ....I go for it! And climb back into my little western hole, and zip it shut!

your right, i should be happy in my own time and take it for what it is, but even though black people, jews etc. had it tough, i am a christian and white so even for me, those days would be great cuz even though people always had sin, lets face the facts here, people back in those days, most people, were more morally together and werent so screwed up yet. the 60's started alot of the crap we see goin on today. im glad we got over the racist gap but now look, they aim to take God out of everthing! and back then, in a simpler time, before stupid computers opened up a world of evil to people, people just relied on olf ashioned ideas that were better.

Evil, blasphemy, denial, corruption, greed, sexual immorality...all those things aren't new or exclusive to today's society. But you're right, the Internet has opened up a world of instant access to just about any subject one might care to discover. But it's also been a blessing in many ways. Christians have instant access to sermons, studies, hymn lyrics, Bible verses in all kinds of translations, just to name a few benefits, plus the blessings of being able to speak about God with people from around the world. And imagine how much larger prayer chains have gotten since the Internet came about.

Agreed...
The extremes of everything are more obvious today than 100, even 50 years ago, along with the good and evil. But in all this God will be glorified in the end!

Painful and wonderful at the same time!...Ret

Peter....you have to put those things into proper perspective to keep the sorrow of it from hardening your heart. These things must come to pass to fulfill God's prophesies. Yes they're to be displeasing/heartbreaking/prayerful times than most for us, but not to where we're praying against God's will to be done, outside of praying for the King of Kings soon arrival. All these displeasing things, violent prejudice hateful times, catastrophic events, we are living in the times of watching prophecy being fulfilled according to God's Word. You're witnessing Revelations in action Peter.

Praying Peter.....I know how you feel.....been there, and done that!
