No third heaven?

II Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
That's the only occurrence of 3rd Heaven in the Bible. That may be Paul in that passage, when he saw a vision, vs 1. I think it was John, though, when he was IN THE SPIRIT at Patmos. In either case, the third Heaven is associated with Paradise, 2Cor 12:4. Paradise is associated with the Tree of Life, Rev 2:7. The tree of life is associated with the New Heavens and New earth and the New Jerusalem, Rev 21:1-2, 22:2. Therefore, the third Heaven is associated with the New Heavens and New Earth, and all of this is future. We now have the 2nd Heaven

The only other mention of paradise is in Lk 23:43, where the comma is in the wrong place. It should read, "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise." That reading is a common idiom, that we still use, and is used 42 times in Deuteronomy. There is no paradise today. If there were, it would be burned up when this present 2nd Earth and 2nd Heaven are burned up. The first earth was paradise, the third earth will be paradise. The present earth is cursed.

Except for those in Revelation, which are future, none of your quotes say anything about angels

They all show that God, Jesus and the angels are all in the third heaven which is the Spiritual realm of God. Where is it that you believe the angels are at if not with God?

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

I already gave you the scriptures about there being three heavens and it's up to you to understand them. Paradise is the New Jerusalem where the tree of life is that Jesus told the theif on the cross that day he would be with Him. Even now being prepared for us and will be ushered down after the first heaven and earth passes away and a new heaven and earth will be made new again. This all takes place after the apocalypse that is God's end time wrath and after Jesus returns and destroys the beast and false prophet casting them into the lake of fire, all judgements are made and the books are closed.

To deny this is heresy.

You err, not knowing the scripture

Oh, now i think i understand, are you talking about the three earth ages?

Your private interpretation certainly doesn't interest me.

2Peter 3: 5-7, 10, 13

The First Heavens and Earth - Gen 1:1 - flooded by water after Satan's rebellion
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

The Second Heavens and Earth - Gen 1:2 - NOW - will destroy by fire
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The Third (New) Heavens and (New) Earth - Rev 21:1 - Future - will be eternal
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Even what you have posted here says heavens as plural being more than one and when you put that with the other scriptures I gave the plural becomes evident in three heavens. First heaven can be seen with our eyes. The second with a telescope and the third being the Spiritual realm of God in His heaven that can not be seen by the eye or a telescope.

It's not private interpretation as there is nothing private in the word of God that isn't revealed by the Holy Spirit. I gave the scriptures and it's up to the reader to understand them.

This is true, for the eye can not perceive nor can any instrument of man look into the true heart man, for it remains hidden behind a veil of death. You can not see into my heart because when you look at me your tendency would be to judge the characteristics of my flesh; and this keeps one blinded to the kingdom of of heaven.

You're grabbing for straws. The starry heavens are usually plural, but they're never numbered. The Heaven (singular) of Heavens (plural) certainly is never called the 3rd heaven. Assumptions are truth's greatest enemy.

What does this have to do with the three heavens? We are not talking about the true heart of man or judging anything.

I am done with this discussion about the three heavens as I gave you the scriptures and it's time to move pass this as we are getting off topic. You have a great day.
