This looks like a satellite pic of a military installation using night vision. Tell the truth, now. Did Hillary send this to you from her Gmail account? :lol
If it had said cable tray instead of wire duct it might have been larger.

Maybe we could get back on the topic of work satisfaction. The motivation of my OP was to draw out where we as Christians (most of us in this thread) can benefit from taking a Godly approach to our work. Where dissatisfaction exists, intensionally changing our outlook. Being thankful for work we have and approaching it as though we are doing whatever we do for the Lord; not the person we report to.

That's right Brother. Many times, I go to work with our Lord. I invite Him to come with me and He has even helped me on the job. That was extremely satisfying to me! A furnace had a dead short in it and kept blowing the low voltage fuse. I tested every single wire and connection on that unit and could not find it! I looked over towards where I figured He was standing and said, Lord, please help...then I buttoned it up and turned it on and iut worked fine without blowing anymore fuses. I was so relieved!

Fixing furnaces during the holiday season is very satisfying. I usually get so loaded up with goodies that it's great! The guy who fixes the heat is always received well. If it's working when I leave, I'm the hero sorta, lol. I've had quite a few peoples kids come lay a hug on me for fixing the heat, even the dad sometimes. It feels pretty good to go help people like this. I've had a lot of beers sent home with me, lol.

I try to take care of them as much as I can too. You can tell when you walk in someone's house if they're doing poorly or not. Many times walking up the walk I'm thinking, this is not the customer, I'm here working unto the Lord. I've had the lord bust loose a nut that I couldn't break free even with a breaker bar one time too, because it was in a tight spot. I stopped and asked for some help, and next try, she came right loose. That was K-razy, how that happened!

Taking the Lord to work with you is the be best thing to do because everybody wins. The customer is happy and has heat, I looked good to the customer, and the Lord get the praise and glory all the way home!

There is no way i could do what is required of me these days with out the Lord.. Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

When i am over tapped i cry out to Him . When the fear hits I cry out to Him.. When anger is over whelming, again I cry out to Him...

I can bang my head against the wall and i hear 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

an old song

  1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
    What a glory He sheds on our way!
    While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
    And with all who will trust and obey.
    • Refrain:
      Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
      To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
  2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smile quickly drives it away;
    Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
    Can abide while we trust and obey.
  3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
    But our toil He doth richly repay;
    Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
    But is blessed if we trust and obey.
  4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
    Until all on the altar we lay;
    For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
    Are for them who will trust and obey.
  5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
    Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
    What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
    Never fear, only trust and obey.

you do the best you can.the work force has changed i am grateful for my job money is fair insurance well ...paul wrote to give thanks in all things.. when a person get tired of the hogwash. the devil steps up adds fuel to the fire. the flesh gets in the way.. no excuse i agree..but reality is as long as we are in this world we will have tribulation.. our peace is in him... Isiah wrote he will keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on HIM the key to our peace is our heart and mind focused on him.. that takes training just like the cross fit athletes they train every day. when in competition they focus on finishing the task...so every day we deal with flesh vs spirit .which one we feed the most wins...

Jesus speaking to Peter:

John 21:18 kjv
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
22 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
