I'm almost 70.................. we've had to cut down since my stroke. I honestly don't think I could even handle three times a week anymore.

1 Corinthians 7:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV)

Principles of Marriage

Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

it is a privet matter between the couple.
This whole thing reminds me of the guys on the job ribbing the kid who had recently gotten married.

All the older guys were poking fun at him for admitting that he and his new bride had only engaged in relations one time the first night. Each man, in turn, bragged about the number of times THEY had "done it". One said twice... another bragged about four times.... one even said "six times".

The kid finally remarked, after they all got done laughing..... "Yeah... but my wife wasn't used to it."

It is the bride that is scared to death on her honeymoon night and undresses in the bathroom with the door locked :)

Willie, you were to long in the Army and I reprimand you, if I ever cease laughing.

seeing how some have dove off in the deep end, they reminded me of a joke I told a few time when I was young and dumb. so here goes
my new wife asked who was going to wear the pants in the family, I said nobody the first two weeks.

Would someone care to explain that joke to me? The wife wasn't used to it means she was inexperienced? Okay, but how could that possibly be so funny to make everyone laugh? Sorry for being so dumb... :crying

Is a sexless marriage ok? How much sex should married couples have?

There's no fixed number. They should have as much or as little as they need to feel satisfied.
A sexless marriage can be okay if both partners are okay with it. There are good reasons why people can't, or don't want to, have sex temporarily or permanently (physical disability, stress, pregnancy, low sex drive,...) it's okay if they both agree on having no sex for a while or ever.

Hey that was a good joke! (undubtably true in a lot of cases, lol).
Anyway, the joke is that the young man married a virgin, and the other guys all married worn out who**s...lol. The joke was on them.

ILoveGod already posted the pertinent scripture. it should not be a sexless marriage. If the wife wants to love, he better love her and vice versa. If it is to be a sexless marriage, then it would be on agreement of them both.

If one deprives their spouse, they'll drive them out the door to go fulfill it. I think what a lot of men do not realize is that really good sex at night, starts in the morning. :wink

Hm, okay: I guess I get it now, but still don't find it funny. Oh well.
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me, Edward!
