ours are closed. I think the vero grid has three of them on the grid.

In some areas, there is not enough money for artists to tattoo full-time; they also do another job, so they have to take another job also. Or maybe to re-state it: in order for an artist to be able to tattoo full time, s/he needs to build up a trusting clientele in an area, over a period of years; until then, s/he may need to supplement with other income, which sometimes means opening a parlor late at night.

Im fully going to get one of mine changed. Its embarrasing now and i also get over people keep asking me what it means, even the same people sometimes.....

PS: kiwidan: So you see the sheer potential as a conversation-starter, of an effective faith based tattoo that preachers well? Now you wish that people didn't ask you about this particular one; imagine if you now liked a faith based design, how that people would probably also ask you about it, and give you opportunity after opportunity, maybe.

vero is small, we have a county with less a 200k people here.

Kind of creates and limits economies of scale, I know, as regards clientele for a parlor, yes.

At the same time, a military wife on these forums was saying that although tattoos are popular among military personnel and their wives, she reckons that they are even more popular among people in general in the South. (Whatever.)

Blessings.

maybe the young and young wannabe yuppies on the beach who want to show flesh will get them.

I think there is a practical point here, that, while personnel and their spouses who live at bases in upstate NY, Nebraska, Montana, etc. might have ice and snow for several months of the year, and thus be unlikely to roll their sleeves down, revealing their tattoos, yet on the other hand in sunny, Southern states people are simply more aware of who does and doesn't have tattoos...

Navigator:

Back a bit you talked about tattooed volunteer workers at a youth center, one of whom was particularly 'tatted up', with faith based ink, with which you said s/he had a particular sense of connection. Did you see the person lately? Recently I was at a youth center and a tattooed worker - who was rather professional in her dress and poise - was one of the staff, although she seemed so formal that I didn't get to talk to her about the ink she was showing.

Blessings.

farouk

Not yet. Im in no rush. It might be years from now or maybe never, plus i need to be able to have the spare change to get one done. Im all good at the moment.

Well, no need to be in a hurry, right? :)

I guess, then, there is no particular placement that suggests itself for further ink, whatever the design may eventually be?

We've heard of the now famous FISH sign tattoo placed on the back of the wrist.
It could be accompanied by a message: "Eschew evil. Avoid its every appearance."

The words could be printed onto a two-edged sword that represents the Word of God. The sword could be full arm length showing the significance of the Word of God in our lives.

Our other arm could be used for another message too - how about, "Sarcasm is the final resort of the weak."

But now only about 10% of our bodies are being used. Would we really like to send the message that we are mere 10% Christians?

Interesting post; and maybe just a bit obscure, also...

Has anyone watched the show Tattoo Mistakes (or something like this) recently? This is a show mentioned a while back. I'm not sure if episodes occur on Youtube, etc. Some of the corrective artwork that artists can do is quite amazing, anyway.

Blessings.

..She asked me about the tattoo on my neck and I explained what it meant to her. She thought about this and began asking more questions about "My God". To cut a long story short, she is reading a Thai language Bible and continually asks questions to clarify the concepts of different verses and chapters. ..

Hi Paul1965: Good to see you. You mentioned back a bit that your Bible verse tattoo spurred your wife Thayanee to study the Bible. How is her Bible reading and study going? Are either of you guys planning any more tattoos?

Blessings.
