The times of the Gentiles...

We also know that Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the GENTILES until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled..

Daniel writes of the four great Gentile kingdoms.. even as beasts.. and how that in the time of the end Michael shall stand up for his people.. and they shall be DELIVERED..

In that Day.. the Day of the LORD.. the Day of Jesus Christ.. when the the Son of man shall sit upon the throne of His glory.. and the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ..

"All things put under Him" is a reference to His enemies, the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees (princes and religious rulers of Israel) who rejected Him and had Him crucified."
Such thinking as this is an example and reason of my complete unbelief of Preterism. Show me scripture saying exactly what you put forth here. In other words scripture saying all power is only referring to His enemies, the chief priests, scribes, and Pharisees, etc. Other points would be showing those alive caught up unto heaven alive, Satan locked up, and death destroyed. Thanks anyhow.

Show me scripture saying exactly what you put forth here.

I did. Several of them, in fact.

For more, you can read the parable of the vineyard in Matthew 21, which is based on the song of the vineyard in Isaiah 5. You can also read Matthew 23 when He confronts His enemies and pronounces 8 woes against them and tells them they're house is going to be left to them desolate.

Obviously, you are free to believe anything you choose. But you asked for scripture and I've given you plenty. Believe it or not.

Show me the scriptural quote please, and other scripture proving all things are under Jesus' power at this time.

Gave them to you. Read them again.

Has Satan been locked up
Yep...all part of the "soon" and "near" prophesied to happen in Revelation 22. Go read it.

have present saints caught up alive to heaven
What do you think Ephesians 2 is talking about???

and has death, our last enemy been destroyed?
According to Paul it has:

but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 2 Timothy 1:10 (NASB)

the last enemy is done away--death; for all things He did put under his feet 1 Corinthians 15:26-27 (YLT)

Believe it or not.

What part of:
because these are days of vengeance, so that all things which are written will be fulfilled. Luke 21:20-22 (NASB)

isn't connecting here???

Profane and vain babblings

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

The word of God used to mean something...

The world to come...

Many fundamental gospel truths are willfully rejected today.. the largest by far is denying the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in great power and GLORY.. with thousands and thousands of His saints.. in the Day of the LORD.

The coming of the LORD is also absolutely and undeniably connected with the resurrection of the dead.. in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit upon the throne of His glory.. along with His Apostles sitting upon twelve thrones and judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

When He comes in His glory..

At the revelation of Jesus Christ..

FAITH.. Hope.. Love...

Many today are going to teach that the resurrection is past already because they confound the earnest of our inheritance in Christ with the literal adoption, to wit.. the REDEMPTION of OUR BODIES... which we patiently WAIT for.. and that's our HOPE.. and certainly hope which IS seen (or realized already) is NO HOPE at all.

There's infinitely more to come when HE COMES.. so keep your eyes and heart and mind upon the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall perform this.. even until the DAY of Jesus Christ.. we haven't even scratched the surface of the unsearchable riches in Christ to unfold in the ages to come..

You can for ever rest assured in the immutable promises of God..

And that's certainly no false HOPE..

The things which are...

And right now we must stand firmly upon the foundation of the doctrine of the Apostles... all of them... not only the Apostle to the Gentiles, but also the twelve Apostles of the Lamb..

Put on the full armour of God so that we can stand against the rulers of this dark world.. in this present evil world..

Resist the Devil and he shall flee from you.. knowing that the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one...

And most importantly.. GREATER is HE that is IN YOU than he that is IN the world..

So until that day... stand fast in the immutable promises of God in our eternally blessed Lord Jesus Christ..

The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hand..

This is what you believe about the body of Christ, the Lamb's wife ?

Addressed in detail in post #248.

Seven times in the beginning of Revelation the workings of Satan were addressed to the churches.

Every member is advised to 'listen' to what the Spirit says, (not past tense, continual tense) to the churches.

Seven times.

And every believer only hears 1/2 of what is said everytime they read it until they hear it all.

Uh, yeah, 1/2 the time of Seven.

Revelation is entirely allegorical.

Do you even know the basic rule to understand all allegory?

Without understanding Jesus' Rule on allegory, the text remains locked and sealed to every reader.

Here is how Jesus arrives:

Song of Solomon 2:8
The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
9 My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.

The restoration of all things...

Revelation is entirely allegorical.

IMO this is a simple example of denying the literal and physical coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.. in that Day, the Day of the Lord.. with thousands upon thousands of His saints.. and which shall come as a thief in the night and as travail upon a woman with child..

It's spiritualized away into nowism.. rather than allowing it to simply stand within its correct biblical context.. the things which shall be hereafter..

IMO many simply don't believe that He is coming again in power and great glory.. to be king over all the earth.. when the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ.

At the revelation of Jesus Christ..

You are both a sheep and a wheat.

Does that mean you are not 'real?' Or that the allegories are not real?

Uh, no.

You didn't answer because you in fact don't have a clue.

And again, we have even discussed the rule, you and I, many many times.

You don't even remember.

Re: The restoration of all things...

Well, since you apparently might have better understanding here.. then by all means share what you think about Revelation 11.. or Revelation 12, or Revelation 13.. or Revelation 19.. things which I have already spoken upon... and which you care to only mock..

As stated prior. Jesus gave us RULES to understand allegory.

The Word is SPIRIT and is understood allegorically.

Are allegorical matters also 'real' matters?

Of course they are.

Are you planted like a seed? Yes. What are the conditions of your planting? Do you even know?

It's not a matter of 'my' knowing.

It's a matter of taking what is given to us and applying it in understandings.

Everyone who has ever picked up Revelation does NOT understand it.

It is understood by the sacrifice of TIME.

Great.. things like Revelation 11.. or Revelation 12, or Revelation 13.. for starters.. all sorts of wondrous things in there that I'm sure you can enlighten us to..

Great.. so please provide your superior understanding and wisdom to the things which shall be hereafter.. things like Revelation 11.. or Revelation 12, or Revelation 13.. for starters.. all sorts of wondrous things in there that I'm sure you can enlighten us to..

You say that I don't have a clue.. I'm open to your superior wisdom here..

seemed rather incredulous that 'the Body of Christ' on earth has SIN.

And even more incredulous when shown the linking of sin to the devil, as if that was some astounding statement.

Yet it is the path through Revelation, to understand that exact matter, what we are going to FINALLY, for the last TIME, be divided from.

To come into understandings one has to come honestly before our Maker.

We honestly in our own bodies come before our Maker planted in weakness, corruption and dishonor.

Every last one of us in those factual conditions of planting have SIN.

Every last one of us in those factual conditions have an EVIL conscience.

That EVIL conscience, the conscience of SATAN, his evil and his works were addressed FIRST THING in Revelation. The very FIRST MATTERS to enter that BOOK.

All Seven churches had this matter addressed to the memberships individuals therein.

But again, believers only hear HALF the message.

Once again.. I got that memo.. and that's great..

How about Revelation 13.. you've openly stated that the beast of Revelation is within the body of Christ.. so perhaps you can take this wondrous chapter and explain what it's all about..

Well, you decry the so called mockers while openly mocking the scriptural facts laid down to walk 'together' upon in understandings.

If you don't even know your own state currently why would you even care what Rev 11, 12 or 13 or any other chapter means?

It is to be applied PERSONALLY.

How many WORDS OF GOD shall 'we' live by?

ALL of them.

Why would you try to apply Words to Jerusalem or months and have no personal understandings. You cast those Word over seas and upon OTHERS people.

Is Revelation 'allegory?'

If so, the RULE that RULES all allegory is found by The Mouth of Jesus in Mark 4.

s

Well correct me if I'm wrong here.. you said that I have no clue concerning these matters and yet I've expounded a fair amount with respect to the things which shall be hereafter.. even noting that there shall be scoffers in the last days who deny the promise of His coming..

That's a scriptural fact..

You have scoffed at all my commentary and openly stated that I have no clue..

So I give you the open floor.. have at it.. although I seriously doubt if you'll expound upon these things.. imo you'll simply continue to scoff at the literal belief that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming again in power and great glory.. in that Day, the Day of the LORD, the Day of Jesus Christ.

Please the floor is yours.. and imo Rev 13 will be a good place for you to start seeing that you claim that the beast sits within the body of Christ.. the Lamb's wife.. and Revelation 13 has plenty to say about the beast.. so the floor is yours.. enlighten us..
