Although this is football, it is still a testimony - because I prayed and God answered.

First, Fabregas has the first trophy of his life in Barcelona after he left Arsenal where he saw no single trophy.

Secondly, Barcelona has this trophy the 10th time Today.

I was terrified in me. I prayed earnestly! Do not think I am a football freak...football is part of what I believe in. God answered me.
Celebrate with me o nations!
Party time!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanna hug God. Join us and let us Celebrate in Spain!

How can you believe in both football and in God?

Luke 8:
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Let that be a warning, i urge you to consider this passage.

15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Galatians 5:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

I was being emphatic about soccer or football as a hobby. I was figurative also. By belief I simply mean: soccer/football is my favourite among other hobbies! Hahahahaha!
You are funny indeed.
I am just a football freak - and FCB is my religion. Hehe!

Well God knows you better than i do.

I do not understand why soccer is so important.

I pray that you will hear to the King James Bible truth.

soccer is a hobby just like music, reading, cooking etc are.

It has a great uniting force. I have seen People who never spoke to each other before instantly reconcile at a single goal. And when a goal comes in your favour, just watch People: a barrier is broken; you witness enemies drop their negativities behind - and never COMING Back to them; you witness true reunion.

And when that atmosphere is achieved, that of friendliness, you can talk about Christ.

A lot of People are repulsive when you go directly to them to teach about the ways of God. But when you win that atmosphere (and not only through that atmosphere soccer creates) you could open your mouth wide and speak.
It works.

I pray that you will hear to the King James Bible truth.

???
Not getting something here.

I give you some scriptures to ponder on, the scriptures apply to me too:

Romans 12:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Luke 16:
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

James 4:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

1 John 2:
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

@AKJVreader

Simply superb. I sing these verses like a song and I dance them too - I obey them.

The problem with the 'worldly things' comes when that becomes an entanglement in the life of that christian.
A friend told His encounter. He said he used to have mania for soccer. And one Sunday evening he was visited by some of his chapel co-ordinators and other christian friends. Unfortunately, it was at a time when the country team was to play soccer against another country.
Immediately they entered his dorm, and he noticing them, knowing their purpose (to fellowship with him as usual) said, 'That Simply can't happen today. I am about to watch this soccer - I can't miss it. Just go!' he was repulsive, almost pugnacious.
They turned back and walked away.
He is Kingsley by name. He says whenever he remembers his act he feels like crying.

The enthusiasm becomes a sin to us when we let it direct our lives. Kingsley's outrage is a typical example.

I have another friend also. He has playing the guitar as a hobby. He plays for our church. He told us how he came to know Christ. He said he had longed to learn the guitar, and one night, noticing a band play for an occasion, he said 'God, if you could teach me to play the guitar just like that fellow there, I'd give my life to Christ.' it is just interesting that 'being able to learn and play a guitar' led him to Christ. He still plays today. His entire family members are instrumentals and musicians.

I feel deeply encouraged too with those verses; I am glad you sent them as a reminder.
My fondness with soccer, I publicly promise, will never take the place of Christ in my life.
Thank you fella

AKJV, those are wonderful verses, indeed. But I don't believe a passion for a passtime is necessarily mutually exclusive with a Christ-centered life. Christ talked about serving two masters and said the love of money is destructive to one's heart for the Lord. But you don't hoard "stuff" what you have a love for a game. I believe one can be very focused on Christ and still enjoy the competition of sport.

But it can be a stumbling block, and every Christian sports fan needs to be aware of their condition. If someone isn't a sports fan, I understand it can be a curious thing. I see bumper-stickers on the backs of Jeeps that says, "It's a Jeep thing... You wouldn't understand." I think there is something to that. :chin

Classik, one of my favorite hobbies is to razz "soccer" fans for such a curious sport. It has got to be a blast for people in cultures where this is woven in, but it's never taken off here in the U.S., and I can't imagine that it ever will. They've been saying it will for decades, and here, it is still a non-issue. If I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times, soccer needs more scoring opportunities! They don't need more scoring; just the threat of more scoring, as with hockey. To me, it is terribly mondain to watch play for so long that comes no where near the goal. :gah

I do admire the nationalism that comes with World Cup. It seems to have even more national intensity than the Olympic Games. Perhaps if we were in downtown Europe with many nearby rivals, it would be different, but I tend to doubt it. For better or worse, we are an impatient bunch, and we need action.

Just a few weeks until college and pro football starts up, and I am VERY excited for the season!

That's it with soccer!
US female soccer teams are Better than the male ones.
The female team really did wonders in the final. Japan was good too. Goals refused to come. I pitied them a lot....Sorry for the loss.
'penalty kick' is insane! I hate it with passion. If there had been an extra 'extra time' US could have won.
That is soccer, anyway.

It certainly has - and has no equal.
Just a few weeks until college and pro football starts up, and I am VERY excited for the season!
Good luck here. I hope goal comes earlier than expected - not against your own CLUB.

Honestly, I like it when I am terrified, when both teams play well and at the end my team narrowly escapes.

Yes it is mysterious how sports are so popular and have there origin in ancient Greece. Were there any sport games for Jews in the Bible?

gee just because the bible doesnt record it doesnt mean that they didnt have them. sheesh.

isaac sported with his wife. so i guess flirting with our wifes is the only sport we can do. just because we are a western influenced(hellinistic) doesnt mean that all sports are bad.

i dont see any offerings to the olympic pantheon ere the the olympic games are started or any sport for that matter these days.

Messi and David villa really play good role for the Barcelona football team. There is no confusion that its the team work but both these player are the back bone of the team.

:thumbsup You are right, friend. Messi and villa are the back bone of Barca. Alexis Sanchez is now part of us. It is the same with every other club.

I love my club's team work and understanding of one another.

Messi is an alien

Valdes is a bullet stopper

Pique is a lion at the back. I like seeing him with Shakira.

Puyol is a raging wolfe. I love him

Daniel Alves stopped Manu strikers. He did the same against Madrid in the final, Supercopa

Iniesta is magic

Xavi is a lord in that midfield

sergio is fantastic

Abidal is a bulldozzer

Bojan is a future Messi! (I hope he comes back)

keita is great

pedro has proved himself in the first team

villa is unquenchable

mascherano is full of talents

Thiago is fantastic

we have many of them...

Now we have Fabregas and Sanchez! They are great!

Thanks to Rosell and thanks to Pep

I travelled back home the following money! On getting home I realised that all our Manu fans and friends have disappeared into an untimely adventure! I went straight to church! One of our leaders who supports Manu came late to church!

It was on our Children's day. So that sunday morning, during news presentation by a girl, she gave the sports commentary:

Manchester United was yesterday dismantled byThe 'spanish lions and the world Champion' - FC Barcelona!

I am the quiet type, yet I ran about in the church just as the tidings went on. I did what I have never done Before!

Do I really sound like a freak?

Everybody has a predilection for something. Mine is my CLUB

.

O thank God for doing it for my beloved team, FC Barcelona. We won again. We demolished Real Madrid.

I prayed and God heard me!

People said Madrid is in form and has won all games. They said Madrid must kill us.

The game started and Madrid scored under a minute (Alonso scored). I nearly fainted. I was terrified. I wanted to die.

But everything changed. A. sanchez equalised. Marcelo did an own goal and Cesc sealed the victory for us.

So Barcelona FC once more demolished Real Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu

O Barça FC full of talents!
Hail Barça FC, Sandro Rosel is with you,
Blessed are you among champions.
Blessed are your children.
Though we are few in number,
We are like kerozene that overwhelms a surface.

O Barça FC full of talents!
Why do people hate you?
Some have sworn never to sleep nor eat until you are destroyed.
What have you done?
What evil did you commit?
Is fame a threat?

O Barça FC full of talents!
you are that seed planted in the midst of thorns,
you are like the people of Israel surrounded by strangers.
You still survie it all...aye
They mourn when you smile;
They feast when you cry.

O Barça FC full of talents!
Messi is your magic,
And Puyol is your backbone.
Pep is our cheerleader and we are the dancers.
...He has many talented children.
We are the progeny.

O Barça FC full of talents!
Your mid-field is like the waist of a virgin girl,
It is girded with diamond chains,
Nothing penetrates it.
Your Forward is like shrapnel in motion,
It penetrates stronghold

O Barça FC full of talents!
Soccer and football - Spain!
Jugardos! Seguidors!
Camp Nou!
We've got a name that everyone knows,
Barça, Barça, Baaarça
