I don't get you mate, I read your post several times and I'm stumped in understanding it.
 
Do you feel giving a child a first reader, or an elementary arithmetic book negates the need to graduate school?

A "child's" Bible is simply to introduce them to Jesus at a level that they can understand, and will keep them engaged.

Ok, I don't know what that means, but I kinda understand the comparison to the graduate school.

If many people believe you have to accept Jesus first before baptism, and that children shouldnt be baptized. Then would giving a child a bible to learn and accept jesus nullify the idea that children can not be baptized.

We dedicated my boys to the church (which is us as parents committing to raise Godly sons), but they weren't baptized. Both my wife and I feel baptisi

The only problem with that that we are having is that our elders will read the scripture on which the sermon is based out of the NASB, while our pastor will read additional verses out of the NKJV, so that can be a little confusing.

I think that our church uses NIV primarily. We do have a couple of readers that like the KJV.
 
There wasn't much of a selection when my kids were young. I got them the Living Bible children's edition.
My daughter's church gave her son, who is coming 10, The Great Outdoors Bible for Kids, it's NIV.
The only thing about it is that the print is very small.

I thought about giving my daughter a bible, and my christian teacher said it was a good idea. But my daughter was with another family who to the best of my knowledge were not christians. So I kind of left it alone, because it would've only put a bigger wedge between me and them.

That would be a tough spot to be in and I can see your point.
Maybe the opportunity will arise that you could respectfully ask them if they would mind. Besides that it might getting them thinking, too. Maybe they will get blessed by it. You never know how God may use you to bless someone totally unexpected to you. :nod

Shes grown up now, and I still couldnt give her a bible, since theres allready big enough wedge between us.
 
Well, with nothing to lose, anyway, why not go ahead and give her one?
