Purity in ones heart, a nice extra, for the super dedicated or the core of the Kingdom of God.

I have spent many years, thinking about the inner turmoil in peoples hearts, the
disconnect between what is going on in life around an individual and how their emotions
and motivations are working out.

Some have come to the compromise, Jesus's blood covers our sins and failures.
And truly this is so, except, the intention is to cleanse our hearts, to make us pure, and not
purity like everything is at is was but literally changed behaviour, intentions, reactions, motivations
aspirations, relationships, intimacy, giving and receiving.

Now imagine a person who is run by lust, or greed, or self indulgence, or power and domination.
What if you got close to them and they opened up to you? Trouble.

How could one have an open, loving caring community with such as this.
The heart has to be resolved to find maturity in Christ, and intimacy in the body, ministry.
It is not a nice extra, it is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Why am I saying this? Because for me to share and have fellowship with a brother,
deeply on things I care about like my life, I must be pure and clean.

Paul put it like this
For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 4:7-8

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Ephesians 5:5

Now one can understand these truths from a distant community aspect, but when you
want to open up to someone and inspire others to go deep into Christ and friendship in
the Lord, purity is the only way.

So, unfortunately those who shut the door to sorting out what is within, you are shutting
out Christ and the reason for the cross, because everything comes from the heart, and
the good believer brings out good things from their hearts. Amen

It seems kids would be more pure.

Kids are pure to a degree, they are driven by their emotions of the moment.
There is little choice on their part, they speak what they feel with little filter, and up to a certain
age do not know how to hide how they feel.

The complications come when they start hiding hurts, taking revenge, being envious, bitter, setting
standards and then cheating. By the time they reach the age of responsibility most are in a mess,
because of family conflict etc. Sin has entered in and the innocent sight often becomes hurt blindness.

True. The world ruins most of them. Much of it is having the wrong ideals and goals. Also observing or experiencing that trying to be good and nice is perceived as stupidity and weakness.

This appears in the sermon of the Mount which is the longest piece of teaching from Jesus in the New Testament, and occupies chapters 5, 6 and 7 of the Gospel of Matthew. Many claim Christ was only addressing His disciples when He delivered the sermon . However Matthew 8:1
makes it abundantly clear there were a great multitude of people hearing the Sermon.
Matthew 8:1
"Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside."
Many could've first time listeners. And if that's the case Christian salvation concept goes far and beyond believers too. I believe the Lord will take HOME souls who may not have even heard of Christ and yet chose to follow a righteous path , were peacemakers ,poor in spirits. Christ is likely to accept such in heaven . Didn't Father God say in
Romans 9:15 :
"I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

So true.

The Lord is pure and desires for us to be holy as He is holy.

Those who have been cleansed then return to fellowship with old friends or family who are not living for Christ can indeed become defiled with what comes out of their heart.

18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” Mark 7:18-23

  • All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

When Christians associate with the immoral, they can become defiled by what comes out of their heart.

They in turn go back and associate with other brothers in Christ, and perpetuate this defilement.

Paul taught that those who are immoral, are to be removed from the Church community lest they spread the immortality, just like leaven can leaven the whole lump of dough.

7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.[c] 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person. 12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”
1 Corinthians 5:7-13

Jesus told us unless we become like little children we shall not see the kingdom of God.
Simple innocent trust through faith in Jesus.
Jesus teaches us we are saved by faith not by works. And we will never be cast from his hand, meaning his custody.
That simple truth and trusting the God that gave it is what I believe it means when the pure on heart are blessed and shall see God. We trust God at his word. There is nothing else.

Unfortunately, there is a movement in the world that finds that truth repugnant. And at any opportunity seeks to get us to believe it isn't true.

God does not know their name. But we know their future. I think that is why they hate us because they know ours.

Amen Amen and Amen. What use is a follower who believes and yet refuses to follow/obey?
It's so easy to accept Christ as the savior and so challenging to accept Him as the LORD, because with that comes the obedience part. We are all sinners, and yet we have been commanded to pick up The Cross deny the flesh daily and FOLLOW Him. We will stumble and fall often in our walk of obedience BUT if we have a repentant heart He will surely forgive us-- we are covered in His blood shed on the Cross. But I am scared for those who are not even willing to try. This easy believism will take plenty of UNREPENTANT murderers and deep, deep unrepentant sinners into heaven who will then spend an eternity with those who accepted the Jesus both as Savior and Lord and suffered for His sake--- including His apostles. Indeed people like Manson, Osama, Hitler and their likes will all laugh their heads off when they land into HEAVEN just by proclaiming Christ as their lord in their last breath without repenting one bit for their mammoth sins. This is WHAT easy believism teaches . and that's what is taught rampantly in most Churches nowadays. Matthew 27:3–10 says that Judas Iscariot returned the money to the priests and committed suicide by hanging himself.
This tells me he was regretful for what he had done. WHAT IF HE BELIEVED JUST BEFORE TAKING HIS LIFE? He will be sitting RIGHT now with Christ and the apostles in heaven according to the easy believism teaching. It's an appalling thought that Judas is sitting with Jesus and the apostles in heaven. But fortunately friends, EASY BELIEVISM is nothing but heresy. That's what it is, since it takes obedience (and baptism) out of the equation and NEGATES the teachings of the Lord.
Christ Himself explains under WHAT circumstances will He be with us eternally... SAVED
Matthew 28: 18-20
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to OBEY everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
1) make disciples = accepting Christ as savior ( absolutely needed for salvation ) and so are the following other things
2) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit---- Baptism IS needed for salvation
3) OBEY everything I have commanded------- Obedience is as important as above two points

Jesus is making it implicitly clear all three things are needed------- FAITH, BAPTISM, AND OBEDIENCE for salvation. If they weren't needed/ important Why would he ask His disciples to do it in the great commission -----it was an order and not a request-- hence it's not optional.
Jesus Himself in Matthew 7: 21 clearly communicates to us - that many believers ( most unfortunately) will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven
"Not everyone who says to Me,Lord, Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven"
Lets also examine similar words of Christ , this time in Matthew 12:48-50

"Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."
In simple words, it means if we choose to NOT do the will of father God ( but only our will) we have NO RELATION with Jesus. We were just fake believers
