Jesus said, "And whosoever does not bear his Cross, and come after Me, cannot be My Disciple (Luke 14:27).

My question is, if you are not a Disciple of Jesus Christ, are you saved? Next, how do we do what Jesus is asking of us to do and not enter into the works of the flesh?

First step is belief. Jesus is the Son of God. He left heaven and took on flesh and is the only one who was found worthy to do this. He did it because the Father and Son both love everyone. He led a sinless life, nobody else can. We are all sinners. We deserve to die not Jesus. The cruel death of Jesus, the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world, was the price He paid to offer us grace and eternal life.

Do you believe that? If you do the Holy Spirit, who also loves you, is calling you.

To grow into what God wants us to be we have to know Him. We do this by prayer and bible study. The more you pray and the more you read, the more the Holy Spirit will work on you.
Remember we are all flesh, we all have our own flaws and setbacks. A good man or woman gets up again if they stumble. We all trip up at times, and need to go back to God for forgiveness.
Hope it helps some.

DISCIPLESHIP

Obedience: Willing to do what one is asked according to the will of God

Gods will is for all of us to love unconditionally as Christ loves us this way. We need to be obedient to one another’s needs, concerns and passions through being true to God through obedience to his word and to know his greatest commandment is love. God will put people in our path, but it is up to us to reach out to those people with the word of God and not only through word, but through action of his word as we humble ourselves to reach out to others.

John 14:15 if ye love me keep my commandments.
John 14:16 and I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 this is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 and the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Faithfulness: True and trustworthy in the performance of duty

Our works are not our own, but the works that Jesus started and left for us to continue. When we follow in the steps of Jesus we maintain a faithful heart and others will come to the Lord by us allowing the light of Christ shine through us as we help meet the needs of those who are struggling with their own lives and need our help. There is no one that is unworthy of the love of Christ as we are all his creation, but not all will hear his calling.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.

We have to recognise our own cross. How do we do that?
i asked first lol the cross represented for Christ a sacrifice today many wear a cross necklace say nice things like God Bless

There is a story that is told of a young man who went to God and told Him that his cross was too heavy for him. God took him into a room full of crosses of all different sizes and weights. He told the young man to pick the cross that was just right for him. The young man looked around and finally picked one that he felt was right for him, not too heavy and not too light. When he came out of the room God asked him if he was sure that was the right cross for him, and the young man responded with a resounding yes. Then God told Him that was the same exact cross He went in the room with in the first place. i did a search on our cross fond what Billy graham wrote https://billygraham.org/answer/what-did-jesus-mean-when-he-said-we-have-to-carry-a-cross/ the cross is pain and suffering paul wrote
2 Corinthians 4:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; like the young man we think our cross to heavy .see the cross of Christ paid the price it is finished !!! no man can ever pay the price again but come sunday the found the tomb empty why seek ye the living among the dead Matthew 28:…5But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! Come, see the place where He lay. 7Then go quickly and tell His disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.’ See, I have told you.”…

i had a good idea imo about our cross then i did a google ..but to be honest there so much to our cross that we have a hard time understanding them all. i dont have the answers many times i have to search the answers . i do lots of internet search and i have to be careful what material i use . it like the old commercial on lolly pops a little boy went to the wise owl asked him .how many licks does it take to get the center of a lolly pop... the wise own took the wrapper off. licked it 3 times. then bit into the center.. so the answer was 3. our search many times is like that depends on who you ask... in the world of modern technology we ahve to be careful as there are hidden answers that look real.but are not of God but man made theology
