my favorite song (at the moment) lol

I grew up listening to my Sister play that.

Here I thought sure you all would be posting Christian rock? Somebody please post Many Will Come, by Sacred Warrior.
I would call it heavy metal, but the lead singer has an absolutely pure voice, nothing like screaming at all.
Everything about that band is superb, but the lyrics of that song are ...
you just have to hear it

I have to admit. At first when I saw this I was like really? :rolleyes Lol, but I actually liked it even though it definitely isn't rock music but I still think it rocks! It's amazing how many new artists I discovered that I like from my time here on the forums that I never even heard of. Free got me hooked on NF and now you got me hooked on that new Christian rock band. I forgot their name already but they dress up like bumblebees lol :lol

Jethro Tull is most certainly rock! Try Aqualung, Locomotive Breath ...

"Highway to hell" would probably be the number one song that never gets played at a funeral, followed by "hells bells", then maybe something like "another one bites the dust"

Yeah those are their two biggest hits over here too but I wasn't going to mention those

And this one is really old...but you just might like it too

That's Greg X Volz singing. They became a totally different band once they got John Schlitt to sing for them. Fired Up was probably his first big hit with them. Minefield (Life Is A Minefield) is on that same CD, and a great song, especially for someone that just got Baptized

Petra kinda defines the term "prolific"

What jazz do you sing? The "great American song book," standards? I'm a trumpet player, so you know I'm hip to all that ...
My list covers many genres. I don’t do the singing. I leave that to the lady that sings and I play the guitar. We cover Eva Cassidy. Her “you’ve changed” is great. But she covers a lot of tunes. We cover some Peter Paul and Mary, sting, Natalie Cole, and blues gets in there too.

Eva Cassidy was AMAZING! I never found out about her until a couple years ago, long after she died. She must've graduated HS within a year of me. Her rendition of Chain of Fools, on YouTube with the brass and the two blonde backup singers, at a little local club, I bet that whole night was magic.

She never went full-time, worked as a waitress. Such talent!

April, Dan lives not too far from Australia and is quoting a lyric and the title to one of AC/DC's quintessential songs

I Think AC/DC have got great talent and they are known as the greatest and best selling rock band in the world, but im not really a fan. Its a bit too full on for me.

When I heard axl rose join I thought it was the biggest joke and fail, but I acturally heard him and he didnt sound too bad.

Elvis Presley is still the King of Rock n' Roll, sold way more than AC/DC. His broadcast from Hawaii (1972? Maybe 1973) is STILL the broadcast with the biggest audience ever.

True. Elvis has doubled them in units. They are still the biggest selling hard rock band of all time and have one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
