Here are a few questions instead of asking if switching labels is wrong here are some important questions you should ask yourselves
.

(1) After switching labels did their music become watered down?
For example: In a song it sounds like they are talking about God, but it could be about anyone.
(2) Where are they leading their audiences? (Are they still walking the Christian walk or is it evident that was a facade.)
(3) Are they really spreading the gospel? (Are they reaching out to their audiences and showing them they way to heaven is through Jesus Christ or are they just singing a few songs about God and themselves)

I would be really careful with anything to do with this world, when a group leaves a Christian label and takes on a secular label they are under a worldly council. I think many freedoms they had could be taken away.

I have been to a P.O.D concert and I don't remember them witnessing at all, maybe it was just the one I went to. All I remember is them chanting a prayer and performing. No salvation message was given. Anyone can sing a song to a group of people with some religious message behind it. It won’t do anyone a bit of good unless they are shown the way to heaven. Amen?

crossovers

Hey, Groovy dude:

Larry Norman said something really cool:

"You can cross over, but you can't carry the cross over."

Pretty neat, eh?

I think that there are two sides to Christian music: ministry and entertainment. That said, I believe that every artist, Christian or secular, is a witness; a witness of what is the question. I don't believe that every Christian artist needs to do an alter call or preach at a concert. Some do (Bride, Third Day), some don't. But their lifestyle and music/lyrics are huge indicators of what their purpose and goal is.

There is some Christian music out there that is simply meant to be good godly music for Christians to listen to vice listening to the secular garbage that's out there. This would be for entertainment primarily, not necessarily ministry. But invariably that music will minister to someone, alter call or not at the concert.

I would see P.O.D. as an entertainment band, and therefore would not be looking for a salvation message from the stage just because they have very Christ-centered lyrics.

That's just my take on the whole thing.

I agree 100 percent with what was said above.

Another thing.

I think Christian bands should be put in the same section as secular bands because they are a BAND, and should not be isolated because of christian lyrics
