The "Attitude" of the Music
If you don't think "music" "sound" has an effect on the nervous system and on the influence of behavior in a person you are mistaken.
It is sound, and any sound promotes an emotional response, it promotes an attitude and it effects sprout up in the spirit as well as in the body.
Don't kid yourself.
Color, Sound, light, material substances all have an effect on the human being, it effects the well being of man. And, if you don't pay attention to what God is telling you about it, you are ignoring God and calling him a liar. Why do you think God forbade pagan type worship? The whole of it promoted an attitude of debauchery and it was in honor of the thing and the feelings they got from it, not from the God that created them. They worshiped the whole practice behind their idol worshipping.
If you aren't careful, your
attitude can become a form of idolotry and you then worship your attitude more than the God who created you. God teaches us how to worship him, We are to do it with humility.
If you value this attitude that goes along with Rap and heavy metal, with punk rock and all those other types of music which promote arrogant behavior then you are amiss in what Godly character is in the eyes of God.
Since when do Godly people go about with arrogant punk like behaviors that mimic punks with arrogant carnal minded attitudes? No no! Jesus transforms the character and behavior of those who were sinners. He did not participate in their ungodly behaviors! He taught them a different behavior by the renewing of their mind, by being born again into the HOLY Spirit, that which is the same spirit in Christ Jesus Himself, one of Godly character and attitude.
Rap music, heavy metal music and punk type head banging music, has an "attitude" about it that is totally ungodly. It has an arrogance to it that is NOT becoming of Christian behavior.
Tell me.... why would God take the music of pagans and make it okay?
There is sound that is NOT going to be nice no matter what words you put into the lyrics.
You can't take the screech of skidding tire and make it sound as if it is a praise to the Lord.
You can't take the sound of a mad man and make it sound as if it is a praise to the Lord.
You can't take vulgar behavior and say it is praiseworthy.
The drum beat of the demon is NOT the drumbeat of the Godly. Nor is the attitude of the devil the attitude of the Godly. You can't mimic the devil's mannerisms and say you are Godly!

I'm telling you, when I hear the sound coming out of those cars which drive by my house and all I hear is that ungodly sound of the drum and the bass in unison with that pagan devil type worship sound, it is NOT pleasant to the ear. That sound is promoting the attitude and arrogance from the devil himself! It is NOT from the HOLY, Good and PURE God character of God. :-? If anyone thinks that type of music, that type of sound is of God they are sadly mistaken.
You don't have to hear any lyrics to the song to decipher whether it is of Godly character or not. The music speaks for itself and the attitude of it is vulgar and
it follows after worship music of the ancient pagans
How can anyone take something so vulgar in attitude and claim it to be music of a people who are supposed to be Christ like in character and behavior, those who are called saints? :o

ly. And if you think the attitude of Rap and heavy metal, punk or head banging music is pleasing to God there is something amiss with your
HUMILITY and RESPECT towards God. Same goes for any music that is of the flaunting of sexually alluring behavior (outside of marriage) type of music.
Satan comes in the guise of the light which is appealing to the eye and senses of the carnal man. Anything that Satan presents gives itself an air of appeal to those who are not privy to the character and truth of what GOD CALLS GODLY. Carnal man only thinks of what is pleasing to man, not of what God deems as GODLY and pleasing to HIM. Beastly, vulgar type music is not of God, it is of the devil himself. And if people are going to fall for the lure of the devil in thinking it is not evil because they changed the lyrics, they are in for a surprise of finding that
down the road, this type of music is not beneficial to the attitude of man.
That kind of music promotes arrogance in an ungodly and rude type of mannerism. 
The fruits of the spirit do not include rude or arrogant, vulgar mannerisms.
Any type of music that promotes ungodliness is not what Christians should be listening to. Also, Sorry folks, but yes.... even some of the Rock N Roll music of the 50's through to the present, even some of the Beatles music, is ungoldy! Yes, much of music which "appears to be pleasant" is not pleasant
in the eyes of God.
