[__ Prayer __] closing time

in about 2 hours, mama and dad are scheduled to close on a condo. its not lavish, but its...quite nice. i'll live there. they rather like it, too, and they have dibs on the master bedroom. I'm...thankful. now that I'm -not- an angry sinner (by God's grace, of course) I enjoy the time I spend with them, and...it seems they will be spending some time at the condo, and I look forward to it. I guess its (hopefully) going to be more of a family home/space that I Happen to live in (?).

I do like this apt., but...in this area, real estate can still be had that isn't too $$$, so if one has the option to buy (or, if you're like me, and you have very kind parents taking care of you, LOL), buying can be a better choice, long term. Plus...whoever owns this place (apt. complex) is looking to sell, so there's no telling what the rent will be like once the lease ends, or if they'll want everyone out to refurbish so they can go upmarket, etc. etc. etc.

so...I pray God's perfect will. My --strong preference-- is that this goes OK. Not to brag or sound snotty, but my parents are able to pay w/o having to get a mortgage and such, so..I"m hoping that will make things go smoothly. but there's no telling, not until it belongs to them, for realsies. so there ya go.

thanks for the prayers! and now...

the condo is theirs! closing went OK. its mostly furnished, which is a huge blessing. The water comes thru the condo, the power was transferred over to my parents' name, and...

i can start moving in ASAP! well, once they get the parking stickers from the home owner's association people, which should happen shortly. then..I can start moving in! and do -laundry-, at my -own place-.

I am...blessed beyond measure. My parents are good to me. God is good to me. This is a new, important chapter in my life and in my testimony...

Introductions with your neighbors to each side and above or below with some fresh home made chocolate chip cookies are usually a pretty good way to make friends.

And asking them to let you know personally if for any reason they think that too much noise is coming from your place...not to hesitate in the least to knock on your door.

Because if for any reason someone breaks in while you are out they will probably make a bunch of noise and you want friends and witnesses. You probably won't have that happen but it's a great start to making good friends out of the neighbors. See if any invite you to church. Big smiles from you all the time or hearing you whistle happy tunes as you come and go are big pluses in their books.

Im blessed. The condo is safe and comfortable. I have what I need and some of what I want. My parents are being kind to me and I am thankful.

Not everyone has a job. At least I know that The Lord is working on me and in my life. Today is yet another day not promised me or anyone else, for that matter...and i pray that The Lord will work in my heart so I will appreciate Him and His will for my life.
