My brother mentioned to me some computer glasses that are supposed to reduce eyestrain. I'm a heavy computer user, and I have been experiencing more eyestrain than I used to. And apparently it can impact your eyes or vision badly eventually too.

Are computer reading glasses worth it?

I wear trifocals and the answer for myself was yes. They make quite a difference for me.

Dear Sister @quesdriven, The simple way for me to read my screen is to simply use the ZOOM on my computer screen to the point it is comfortable. My problem with specialized lens is other things I'm normally doing that require other lens, and if I use dual or triple lens I'm required to constantly hold my head in a certain attitude. At the present time I normally have my default on magnification set to 110%, and if I come upon something especially small or hard to read I simply use my mouse scroll while holding Ctrl to raise the size of the font to 125% for instance.

Depending on your eyesight your eye doctor could prescribe some computer glasses for you. They do vary a little bit from your everyday glasses.

The only prescription glasses I have are because I have lazy eye. (And it's not that bad as my weak eye is only 20/40.) I guess lazy eye could contribute to eyestrain, but the computer glasses I mean are more about how computer screens impact your eyes. They also cancel out ultraviolet light and make it harder for the screens to keep you awake.
