Just finished a big plate of the stuff.

Couldn't get my wife (SWMBO) to eat any for years.
But one day I got her to eat it all together with the potatoes and horseradish sauce on the meat. (She wanted ketchup but I refused)

And when she got finished crying and blowing her nose...

She asked for seconds.

You got a favorite meal?

I should say that my first meal off my diet will be chips and salsa and fajitas. It is one of my favorites for sure.

Well I just ate some shrimp, chicken, and carbonara. Not my favorite but it's digesting as I write. I think my favorite is a Mexican dish: Asado Steak. It's just so jucy and good!

Most of my favorite foods have to do with a memory.
It recalls a special time and place and helps you really remember all the little details that tend to get lost over the years.
Like the Greek yogurt/cucumber sauce at the Greek restaurant in Austria we stopped at. The sauce was as thick as butter...The beer was so drinkable that you couldn't help but chug it like a soda.

Or the saltwater barbeque Brahma hump we ate in Brazil with fruit juices that were frothy and chuggable.

Or the ribs barbequed slowly for 6 hours that got the sauce to stick to your teeth like glue or tar that stained everything it touched and the amazement of children watching fireworks we picked up for the fourth.

The crunch of the bread and the burning of the back of my throat while eating soup on stage at the Culinary Institute.

*Sigh*....Food memories.

What about tender lamb smothered in mint sauce?
Lamb T-bone chops with muscadine wine sauce. Grandparents house...
Grandma, who hated all alcoholic beverages to the point of not even liking them in food, told me that I needed to keep playing with them sauces as I seem to have a talent.
Another fine day.
