This scripture is referring to the Second Coming!

Yes, but also the end of the world.

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." -Matthew 24:3-14

This scripture is referring to the Second Coming!

Rom_1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Rom_10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Rom_1:8 Paul speaks of the Roman Empire
Rom_10:18 This proclaims Paul bringing the subject matter back to the Jews. This painly proclaims the fact that Israel knew about Christ, and rejected Him anyway.

So in order to understand this you have to define 'end' and 'world'. Think of all the definitions that are possible.
How do you understand Matt 24:13 ? Would that mean a pretrib rapture would only take the unsaved because the saved have to last until the end?
Doesn't this autumn end on 12/21/2012?:confused

Beings i was in church even before i was born literally i am old enough to have heard the tales of Israel ... I dont remember 1948 i was only 2... I do remember Mon & Dad talking about Israel when i was about 9 that was 7 years after 1948 Rapture was sure to happen are YOU ready? oops! Well a generation is 40 years so many books sold yet no rapture in 1988. Now a generation is how many years? Dont get me wrong i dont doubt His returning i doubt OUR timing...

I've always looked at it as the lifespan of the generation born when Israel became a nation with God numbering us to 70 years. I also looked at it as the entire trib happening in that time. That would be end of trib in may 2018. Also for the two 3 1/2 year periods to be happening simultaneously.

world:

G165
αἰών
aiōn
ahee-ohn'
From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): - age, course, eternal, (for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the, while the) world (began, without end). Compare G5550.

The end of the age, the end of 6000 years of man's (Satan's) rule and then the beginning of the Millenium.

Could the world end in 12/12/2012 as it's predicted. I don't believe that because only God knows the time when the world will come into the end, but it's still interesting. What do you think about it?

No. The nephilim posing as star gods to the ancient mayans told them they would return after the calender ended. Nothing about the end of the world mentioned. You might be thinking of the revelation of John Cusack.

Where did you find this information from?

Scientifically speaking, there is no defining event that is set to happen on Friday (tomorrow). The poles could switch, but there is an equal chance of that happening each and everyday you wake up. Friday is no different. In a Biblical sense, no man knows the day or hour in which the end will come. That includes dates set for "the end of the world."

Eventually, the world will end no matter what you believe. Maybe you read the bible and gather that we will prosper for forever? Or maybe you read that the world will in fact be destroyed/come to an end? We know at some point our resources will completely run out, the sun will blow up, and we are on a collision course with another galaxy. God will snatch us from earth before any of that happens, though. An end event will happen, just pick one.

Not a clue, eh?

The world won't end but I wouldn't rule out a "cleansing" of the earth. Maybe something similar to the great flood in the sense that it would wipe out most of the population.

The Hopi spoke of three worlds, and the fourth world coming to an "end" at some point. Their first world was destroyed in fire (comets/asteroids?), second by ice (ice age), and third by water (the great flood). They predicted the earth will shake and they will wake up and see water. They were/are in Arizona. If an earthquake happened and Cali "fell" into the ocean I would think in AZ they would wake up and see water.

One thing I don't get is how would the Mayans know what God is or is not planning to do?
That's the main reason I don't really believe the December 21st thing.

There's too much un-fulfilled prophecy for the world to end tomorrow. The cleansing spoke of, is possible though and I will be praying a lot today. The United States is in a serious state of moral decay and doesn't seem to have been judged in a long time. From what I can tell, the US (eagle) isn't mentioned a lot if any in the last days prophecies.

If the plates shift and cause earthquakes like we have never seen, Cali could easily go under and also New York. If there is going to be a cleansing of moral decay those may be good places to start!

This is also my understanding of this. Chuck Missler does a great 2 hour vid of this on youtube. Search for Nephilim/Chuck Missler and watch it.

My husband and I were discussing if this were possible. I had never heard anyone else say this... Thanks for this I can't wait to watch!!
