The Ethnic Division of the Scriptures (1 Cor. 10:32)
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God said,"let there be light", and in 6 literal 24 hour days (John 11:9) and one day for rest, all was created. (Gen. 2:1-4). At that time, God dealt with all mankind with the same grace to all.
Over a period of time, it grieved God that He had made man, for he saw that men's wickedness was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of their hearts were only evil continually! And He decided that He would destroy His creation altogether. (Gen. 6: 5-7). But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Gen. 6:8). Notice, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God did not pick Noah because he was perfect, but Noah walked with God, as a righteous man. Always confessing his sins, and sacrificing the blood of the lamb as guilty before God. The judgement upon man in (Gen. 6:5-7) Is still pending, and will be carried out after the righteous shine forth like the sun (Matt. 13:41-43).
Noah was a preacher and preach the warning of the wrath of God by water for 100 years while building an ark as a safe haven from the judgment to come. The Ark is a type in Christ of the refuge of His people from judgment (Heb. 11:7). From the line of Noah came Abram,. And Abram was called out by God to become a special people to show the world the benefits of serving an all powerful and graceful God, and that through Him that all the nations of the earth might be blessed. (Gen. 12:1-3).
From (Gen. 12:1 through Malachi 4:6) is strictly about the Jew (Israel), other nations (Gentiles) only mentioned as they touch the Jew. The four Gospels in the NT are the fulfillment of the promises made to Israel, and of the Son of David's eternal throne over Israel. The Church is mention as a future entity, formed by Christ as the head of that body.(Matt. 16:17-20)
