Scripture Of The Day - WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP

"For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10

Whether or not you feel you are fulfilling your destiny, you are being prepared by the King of kings for His good purposes. You were chosen by God and have been given a divine DESTINY in eternities past. Why? The Lord is CALLING you to partner with Him to shape the future of the Kingdom of God (see 2 Corinthians 6:1)! This seems almost too marvelous to be true, but it is the Word of God.

What does it mean to be "HIS workmanship"? The Greek term translated workmanship is "poiema", from which we derive the English word poem. Indeed, we are God's poem, written in ages past to be a living testimony of His presence on earth (see Psalm 139:16-17). Without exception, every Believer has been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has ordained for us.

REVELATION OF ANOINTING

The desperate cry of many Believers is: "Oh, Lord, let Your works appear unto Your people" (see ZZ - 600.jpg). The good news is that God's anointing rests upon upright followers of Jesus, and we will fulfill His purposes on earth. God has not only ordained good works for us, but He has also provided the grace we need to perform these works (see Philippians 4:13). We all have "an unction to function." Each one of us is anointed to fulfill the purposes of God (see Acts 1:8).

As we move deeper into this season of sensitivity and revelatory enlightenment, we must step into our CALLING and DESTINY -- fixing our eyes on Jesus and Him alone. Only in His light do we see light (see Psalm 36:9). Only in His presence do we obtain a happy, holy heart (see Psalm 16:11).

LEADERS WITH PURE HEARTS

Divinely appointed leaders are emerging who have a single heart's goal to establish the King in His Kingdom on earth. Christ Jesus will have for Himself a people prepared to do greater works (see John 14:12).

This is not a time for any Believer or leader in the Body of Christ to be humdrum, expecting only what we have seen and experienced before. We have never been where we are going now (see Joshua 3:4). We all must prepare for what is ahead: The call to embrace the awe of Almighty God. A wonderful, reverential fear of the Lord is returning to the people of God, releasing the wisdom of God (see Psalm 111:10).

The hearts and lives of millions are going to be touched and transformed by the power of God during these days, as God's people return to a radical love for Christ and action regarding God's PURPOSE for their life supported by that love.

REVELATION AND STRATEGIES

The Spirit of Truth is releasing revelatory insights for all who are willing to hear Him with a heart set to obey what He is requesting (see James 1:22). Prepare to see an acceleration of the advancing of God's plans and purposes. God will have a people of purity and power, who live, move (initiating action instead of complacency), and have a revelation of their DESTINY in Christ.

thanks for the sharing everyone! I'm dealing with lots at home right now but still managing to read the Word each day. Nice to come in here to read what others have shared.

Agreed. I don't understand all of what I read when it comes to the Word of God, but I do like what I'm able to understand. :) After all, the Bible is basically one big love letter to His children. :cross

Wow, this just might be the coolest thread ever

Here's one from Hosea 12:10
10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets...kjv

He is doing the same things now! Its had me thinking since I read it.
Similitudes. ..hmmm

Scripture Of The Day - WASHING WITH WATER BY THE WORD

John 13:8 -- Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."

Peter could not imagine Jesus wanting to wash his feet -- his shocked reaction being "Lord, how can You wash my feet!"

Jesus says to him: "Peter, if I don't wash your feet, you have no part with Me." What the Lord was actually saying to Peter was, "Peter you cannot walk together with Me in ministry, in service, and in effectiveness if you don't let Me wash your feet."

John 13:9,10 -- "Then, Lord, Simon Peter replied, 'not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!' Jesus answered, 'A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And your are clean.....'"
Jesus Washing Peter's Feet.jpg
Once we have received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are bathed all over, and cleansed by His blood once and for all eternity! His blood has perfected us forever (Hebrews 10:14), and we only need to wash our feet because we walk in the world and our feet pick up dust and dirt, causing us to stumble.

HOW DOES JESUS WASH OUR FEET TODAY?

Ephesians 5:25-26 tells us that "Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word."

We, the church, are cleansed with the washing of water by the Word. The more we come under anointed teaching that unveils Christ through the Word, the more the cleansing goes on. And as our feet are washed, instead of stumbling, we will be walking and even running!

Scripture Of The Day - COME AND DRINK

"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' The woman said to him, 'Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty...'" - John 4:13-15

Jesus boldly told the Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob that she could come to Him and He would give her living waters. He was speaking figuratively of the Spirit of God. We cannot live without natural water and so we cannot spiritually live without the water of the Spirit of God. Jesus taught the disciples in Matthew 5:6 that "blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied."

He promised that we would be satisfied. How does this happen? The only way it can happen is if we have the indwelling presence of God in our hearts via His Holy Spirit. David said in Psalms that his heart and flesh longed and thirsted for God in a dry and weary land. Again David mentioned the life giving power of the Spirit of God in Psalm 51, "take not your Holy Spirit from me..."

LIVING WATERS

David loved the Presence of God and the Holy Spirit. He knew that if he grieved the Spirit of God He might leave him and then the Presence of the Lord would diminish. David lived in the days of the Old Covenant and so did the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus came along and told this woman that she could have living waters inside her and she would never be thirsty again. Jesus risked much to minister to her and probably stirred up come controversy as people heard what He did.
God has been inviting mankind to fellowship with Him since the days of Adam and Eve. He walked and talked with them in the garden when He came to visit them. He was about cultivating a relationship with them. He made it easy for them to know Him. His heart has never changed and He has again made it easy for us to experience Him by the sweet indwelling presence of His life giving Spirit.

Come and drink of His living waters and allow them (Holy Spirit) to well up in you like the well where Jesus invited the woman to drink of His living waters. Jesus gently shared love and hope with her and she was so transformed that she went to her village and told people about her experience and many people found Jesus that day.
Regardless of how we feel about ourselves, He is always telling us, "Come and Drink." "Come to Me and I will give you living water and you will never thirst again!"

1 John 3:18 NKJV
"My little children, let us not love in word or tongue, but in seed and in truth."

I was reading an old devotional and it rd the story of a humble man who said he had no gifts except to help others.
He had been caring for a man for 25 years who has the mental capacity of an 11 year old. He was in a hospice waiting for the inevitable to happen, but wasn't scared because he has Jesus.
They spent countless hours together.
This man was wrong in thinking he had no gifts. He has plenty including patience and love.

From a devotion in the Bible app:

Living a life that matters must be full of actually doing all sorts of things that matter. Doing things that matter doesn’t mean you have to create your own huge global-spanning movement. No. Instead it’s contributing to the largest, global-spanning movement in the history of the world! Finding ways to live and be the person that God has created you to be. This is not about following religious rules or law. This is about love! This is about loving God, loving life, loving others, and as a result, having a life that you actually choose to live.

If you pursue the journey to dream wildly, live differently, love recklessly, and lead courageously all for the glory of God you will discover a life that is well-lived. Don’t just do something—become someone! Wake up every day and choose to be who God has called you to be.

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

good selection, Papa Zoom.

one thing I've been praying on+pondering is what it means to become who I really am in Christ Jesus. In my case, that means forgetting a lot of labels from 'experts,' etc., but then it dawned on me...--all-- Christians come to The Cross w/ "stuff" to be taken care of, that's just the way things go.

2 Samuel 23:4 NKJV

And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises.
A morning without clouds.
Like tender grass springing out of earth,
By clear shining after the rain.

Scripture Of The Day - COME AND SEE

John 1:38,39 -- Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, "What seek Ye?" They said unto Him, "Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest Thou?" He saith unto them, "Come and see."

There are many reasons one comes to Christ. Yet, as the Lord asked John and James, so He asks each of us:

What are you seeking in life?
What goals compel you?
Will the things you have achieved be transferable into eternal accounts?
Will you have spent your time and energies on that which is void of true life?

Like James and John, we too, "behold the Lamb of God." Just as He asked them, so He asks us, "What are you seeking?" It is possible to barely know Jesus because we never actually spend time seeking Him.

In response to Jesus' probing question,"what seek ye?", the disciples did not ask Him for greater power or one of His many spiritual gifts. Instead, they asked Jesus something more personal and intimate: "Where dwellest Thou?"

THE DWELLING PLACE OF GOD

They wanted to know where Jesus lived. They were searching for the dwelling place of God.
Inside the heart of a God-seeker is a quest for more. We are in search of the "dwelling places" of God. In truth, our hearts have been divinely programmed. There are within us "the highways to Zion" (Psalm 84). Our destination is nothing less than oneness with Christ. All fruitfulness comes from living in spiritual union with Jesus.

The disciples answered astutely, "Rabbi, where dwellest Thou?" May this become our prayer as well: To all who feel similarly, Christ says to us what He promised to them: "Come and see."

PRAYER:

Dear Jesus, I turn to You now. You are my life's greatest goal. I desire to live in You, to abide in the wonder of a life united with You. Amen

Joshua 1:9 NKJV

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you."

I am going to read this verse every day until I rember it, because this is one of my failings. I lack courage. "Have I not commamded you" that is so serious .

Scripture Of The Day - WALKING INTO THE NEW SEASON

We are to walk carefully wise as serpents and harmless as doves in this season of increased awareness of who we are in Christ and answered prayer! Be light, be peace, be love, and be at rest securely in the love, protection and purposes of God. Leave the old season behind, "Behold I do a new thing, do you not perceive it?" (see Isaiah 43:19.)
Success, excellence, provision, and victory are words that will become the norm for this day! God has said that in the time of rain we are to ask for rain!
As the pouring out begins -- ASK!
In making His will known -- AGREE!
With the release of His Word -- DECREE!
There is an incredible sense of freedom coming to the Body of Christ and a great release of His people into their prepared DESTINIES. He said we are to: "Be ready to be empowered to accomplish the task set before you!"
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses telling people about Me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the Earth." - Acts 1:8

Be courageous and move out without fear to accomplish your mandate. El Shaddai will provide the necessary protection and provision to ensure that we are successful! As He Said to Gideon, ZZ - 648.jpg

Scripture of The Day - CONFRONTING PITFALLS

This is a season of confrontation and contending to overcome every pitfall that our foe, the devil, puts in our pathway. With bold, brave determination we must be relentless in our pursuit of God's holy presence!

"Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring our consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1).
ZZ - 654.jpg
Hold back nothing – none of your hidden agendas, selfish ambitions, old grudges, and unforgiveness. Confess every sin that the Holy Spirit brings to your awareness and continue to ask Him for a spirit of repentance.

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

A key focus in drawing ever closer to God is seeking to extract out of your life absolutely everything that hinders you from drawing near:

HAVE YOU COME INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE ENEMY?

Pray fervently for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any and all filthiness of your flesh or your spirit.

Have you come into agreement with devilish spirits of accusation and rejection?
With spirits of bitterness and unforgiveness?
Have you given into an unloving spirit?
Have you given into a spirit of anger or fear?
Do you live with a burden of shame, guilt, or regret concerning the past?

As we recognize these emotions for what they are -- works of the enemy to destroy our soul and keep us from living and advancing in God's PURPOSE for our life.

Renounce your agreement with these evil works of darkness and repent from your sins, receiving the Lord's mercy and forgiveness by the Blood of His Cross.
Only then will you be free to abide in Christ and enjoy God's magnificent presence.

HOW DO WE CAST OFF THIS FILTHINESS OF THE FLESH AND SPIRIT?

Spend time worshiping God and confessing His Word over your life.

Renew your mind by meditating on the Word of God, especially Scriptures calling us to walk in holiness and the fear of the Lord.

Pull down "every thought to the obedience of Christ":
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Fear exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ – PULL IT DOWN! It is disobedience.
Unforgiveness exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ – PULL IT DOWN! It is disobedience.
Accusations, bitterness, rejection – PULL THEM ALL DOWN!
Coming into agreement with the lies of the enemy is no less than rebellion and disobedience

As we, with an open heart, behold Him, we will be transformed more and more into His image.

A VICTORIOUS OVERCOMER

"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." - Psalm 16:11

As we learn to walk in holiness and the fear of the Lord, the Spirit of God will release light for revelation of our CALLING in Christ. Only in Christ's presence will we find overwhelming joy, which endures through any circumstance.

"For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light." - Psalm 36:9
And also be certain of this: Only in Christ's presence can we experience victorious life, instruction, and illumination. No Believer needs to stumble about in darkness. Simply lift your eyes and follow the Lord.

"For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." - Psalm 18:28

The revealed Word of God states:

"This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:5-7).

As we yield to and abide in Christ, His radiant love and light literally beam outward from our life into the lives of others.

This is the time to arise and shine -- boldly becoming the victorious overcomer you are destined to be (see Romans 8:37).
