Just back from a 3 hr appointment with my dentist (had no idea) and have to go back for another 3 hr appointment on Tuesday (to actually fill the root canal and crown it) I have another crown to get down apparently sometime. I asked her 'when that's over is that it'?. She just looked at me and told me I would be seeing her all year and into next year! Then after all the necessary work is done, 2 yrs latter, I should get orthodontal work done about $4000-5000.
Wanted to tell her my teeth are not American, but British - they are supposed to be bad, crooked and yellow! :biglaugh
But really my teeth aren't that crooked, buck teeth not really bad, and God made peoples teeth different colour - some are more white some are more ivory, so why bleach them to an unnatural white?
If I had that kind of money over from not paying bills ($4000,$5000) which I don't, it would be going to some family member in need or some christian work. I would never dream of using botox or paying for cosmetic surgery so do American Christians see dental work (I am talking about purely cosmetic reasons) differently? Or is it cultural and me being British?
I did get teeth removed as I had so many as a child as well as braces when young, as I had bad buck teeth (now it's just mild ) but I didn't pay a penny for it as it was on the NHS. And it wasn't anywhere near perfect, I guess just enough so kids wouldn't laugh at me, I wouldn't have a lisp etc.
