Do Not Use Ant-acids Long Term

When our son became suddenly ill with massive reflux, we immediately started an ant-acid regimen. Research showed almost all reflux is caused by not enough stomach acid and not because there is too much. Instead of OTC corporate garbage all that is needed is a little apple cider vinegar.
it provides the acid the stomach is not producing and it is safe and cheap. It also works within seconds.

Good morning Brother @daninthelionsden, I've heard information something to that effect before but discarded it as from someone not knowing the truth about it. On your personal testimony I will certainly try it. Thanks.
God bless you in Christ Jesus, and of course it is there we are blessed. :)

Taking this a bit serious I also looked up the following information from Healthline you might to also look at. http://www.healthline.com/health/digestive-health/apple-cider-vinegar-for-acid-reflux#Overview1

Just read an article that long term use of various antacid's can "possibly" cause blot clots/strokes.

And, wouldn't you know it? A friend of mine who has been taking them long term just finished his second bout with blot clots in his legs. Might be connected. Flipped him the article.

Generally speaking foods that require more hydrochloric acid obviously put more acid into the system. Foods such as meat/dairy. Excess acid is hard on the system, long term. It breaks down the kidneys, liver, adrenals etc. and from this base problem with vitals then starts to hinder the lymph system in evacuating dead cells and waste products from the cells which is aided by these vital organs.

If a person drinks too much liquid during eating this can also contribute to the acid being watered down and less effective for digestion, causes heartburn. Also causes the body to call for even more acid to counteract watering down the digestion acids.

Bottom line is "acid not good." Give the body a break from meat/dairy for awhile. Fruit, veggies, a little healthy oil such as avocado oil. If anyone has weight/acid reflux problems 3-4 weeks of a less intense diet might prove the point. Longer term resolve is needed to really dig into the lymph cleansing aspects. I've got a boatload of friends in their late 50's early 60's that have a lot of health issues and I'd have to say it's mostly diet related. We kill ourselves with a fork.

We were frantically trying to stop our son's reflux. We had him on a bunch of OTC meds and seemed to make the problem somewhat manageable. Then one night I saw a website touting "Stops Acid Reflux In About One Minute".....Thats the name of the product....really. It was sold in a little Amish store in Fredericksburg, Texas so we drove 200 miles to get some. It cost $12 a bottle, but it worked. We bought about 10 bottles and we got by on that and stopped the OTC stuff right away. We learned of the health risks and dangers of the OTC stuff as well as the prescribed ant-acids. We called the Amish stuff..."Amish Acid"...because it burns as it goes down......we referred to it as fighting fire with fire. We then learned that a lot of reflux is caused by H-Pylori infection. The doctor we went to refused to test our son for H-pylori and instead insisted he go back on powerful ant-acids. We refused and found a lab to do the testing that the doctor had refused to do. The lab "lost" the first sample...then delayed giving us results on the second sample for days....then said the test was negative...We didn't believe the test results and were able to obtain a med-pack designed to treat H-Pylori. After he finished the med-pack the infection was cured and the reflux stopped. Now we have to deal with the massive scarring of our son's throat. There are 2 basic procedures that can be done. One involves inserting a balloon down the throat to "squish" the scar tissue and the other is to burn the scar tissue out.

Two of my grandsons had to deal with acid reflux shortly after they were born til about age 3. Interestingly we have other friends who's grandchildren have the same issues. Almost killed my oldest grandson. My daughter in law is epileptic. Took meds the whole time she was pregnant. Most of the drugs for that are highly acidic. Same with mood/mind drugs. Highly acidic. But do you think they'll listen to Grandpa? Nope. The doctors are always right, or at least that's what they are intimidated into thinking. Pretty sure the regiment of vaccines they hammered my oldest grandson with didn't help him out either.

Bottom line is these kids are coming out of the womb with problems. Largely diet related and often compounded by add on issues with prescription drugs, vaccines, etc. imho.

IF the body is treated well with a proper less intense acid required for digestion diet it will go a long ways to healing and regeneration on it's own.

A while back I was having some issues with heartburn and asked an elderly gentleman in our congregation if there are any natural ant-acids. He said basically the same thing, and recommended getting supplements that boost stomach enzymes, which help in breaking down the food that is actually causing the heartburn. Worked rather well, though it was a bit expensive. I will have to try the apply cider vinegar method.

We tried the enzymes with limited success and we tried probiotics also with limited success

This is interesting. Nothing against doctors--vaccines and various surgeries, antibiotics, etc. have made a huge difference in countless peoples' lives--but I think everybody, including professionals, forgets that drugs are toxins, and should be avoided if possible.

That's because I have not been here for awhile, but then again my gripes in the past were starting to sound like a broken record (for those of you old enough to remember those things). If you want to get a drug-pushing doctor's goat, then just say that the medications he prescribed were not working and you dumped them down the creek in the back. Of course you will have every agency, EPA, environmentalists, etc on your case for making the water "toxic". You then proceed to ask them, "well if a fish died from the drugs I dumped I can still eat the fish, can't I?" They will think you are crazy and retort "Of course not! You made our streams toxic and everyone will get sick maybe even die -- you too if you eat the fish!" To which you answer, "OK, if dumping medications in the stream is that toxic, then how can it NOT be toxic taking it directly 10,000 times the strength straight into my body? Yet doctors will pressure me to take them 'for my health'. Now which is it??" And to that when they see the severe contradiction and all will shut up. BTW I side with the environmentalists. It is very toxic. And you should not eat the fish. However, many environmentalists see nothing wrong with drug-pushing doctors -- that's the problem.

over use of NSAIDs is not good either.. When the cardiologist told me i was not making enough red blood if things did not improve we would be doing a bone marrow biopsy ... :eek2 looking at the chart he said you take too may Nsaids stop more like STOP.. so i did ...went from about 6 a couple times a day or more to zero for a month then maybe 1 month if i have over worked... at first i was hurting a bit now i dont notice i dont take them... my blood work was way improved..
