It is. It's a different flavor, but it can be quite pleasant. The health difference between white potatoes and sweet potatoes is really big!

Ah well, I take a look at it this way, if I die for eating white potatoes instead of sweet potatoes, at least I die happy and go on to a better place where I can literally eat whatever I want LOL!

Oh by the way? Did I mention that I also like to eat seafood? At least fish and crab anyway. And I never tried it but I don't think that lobster could be that much different.

This post originally quoted another post, which has since been edited. This post is edited so as not to cause any confusion. I will reply to the edited post later.
The TOG
I don't get it. Explain it again. :)

The beta carotene in carrots is necessary for good vision, but that doesn't mean it will correct vision like glasses, lol.

White potatoes and white bread are two major problems with the typical US diet. If you get a chance, try some sweet potato fries someplace that offers them, that's a good way to get used to their flavor.
Years ago there was a study on why the Okinawans regularly lived to be over 100 years of age. it was found the purple sweet potato was one of their regular staples in their diet. They also ate lots of veggies, whole grain rice, and fish, even pork but in limited amounts. Since that study, many Okinawans now are eating a more westernized diet and are suffering from all the ailments it brings as well.

You mean it wasn't Coral calcium? Lol

Crab and Lobster are about the same, they both taste great! They are, "bottom feeders" though and eat all the garbage and poisons which sink to the bottom, (think carcinogens, chemicals, etc) like Catfish and most fish without scales like Tilapia, Flounder, etc. In the Old Testament the Lord warns us to stay away from such since they are the world's garbage disposals. Same goes for pork, the Old Testament warns against it. I do eat all of the above but in limited amounts and not on a regular basis. Fish with scales are what you want, real beef animals that do not divide the hoof.

Does a potato count as a vegetable? Sweet potatoes are actually very good for you, eaten with butter. (Just butter, no sugar or marshmallows) A microwave will cook one easily if you stab it to death with a fork first.

Carrots are great, nutritionally speaking! You need to eat a LOT of them, but what they furnish is hard to get from supplements. Good old fashioned stew in a Crock-Pot is a good way to get lots of carrots and sweet potatoes, plus the sweet potatoes add a nice flavor that goes well with the right blend of seasoning.
I LUV sweet potatoes nuked in the microwave and dabbed with some butter. To me they are a healthy treat!

I use to take shots of A1 ,I've stopped because I thought that Id have a heart attack.

The old Covenant was simply that, part of the OT. Sorry it took so long for me to respond by the way after I quoted you, but I had to rush out the door to go grocery shopping.

Spiritual health laws still apply and have not disappeared or gone away. Following, obeying them, or not does not grant one any right standing with God. But there is a reason God created those health laws, for our benefit. For example if one made pork their main diet one would soon suffer the health consequences for violating those same spiritual principles. Another one that is not good for humans healthwise is shellfish. They too are bottom feeders and filter all the poison and junk that drops to the bottom of the seafloor and waterways in the case of freshwater shellfish. "Moderation" in all things is certainly good health advice when eating fish without scales, shellfish, pork, etc.

You're right that's a very good point, but I do believe that under the old covenant laws, people weren't allowed to eat them at all.
