The right hand of God created all things - link
Dec 5, 2016 | Posted and written by John Alexander

The right hand of God is in reference to the glorious power of the creator of Heaven and earth. Our saving grace by means of Christ’s mighty and miraculous works, as well as His righteous wrath on the ungodly, are attributes of the right hand of God.

Ex 15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

The right hand of God is a metaphor describing the incredible and majestic power of God.

Psa 48:10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

The right hand of God is symbolic of the righteousness of the Lord that strengthens us, and holds us up (Isa 41:10).

Isa 48:13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

The right hand of God is a figure of speech from the Creator who spoke the world into existence (Gen 1:3-27).

Yahshua, our Messiah said “you shall see the Son of man sitting gloriously as the right hand of power”. The right hand of God will also come again in the clouds of heaven (Mark 14:61-62).

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

The words sat on, in the verse above are translated incorrectly. In cannot be said, that our Lord sat on the right hand of God; this is to suggest that we are talking about two separate Gods.

Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

When Isaiah says prepare the way of the Lord (Yahweh), a highway for God (Elohim), he is not speaking of two God’s.

Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

John in the desert is speaking of this same Lord that Isaiah is referring to.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord who is God (Rom 6:23).

John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

God hath raised Himself from the dead; this is a miracle that no man could perform. Jesus is not a man in the sense that we think of men.

John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Christ had no beginning and will have no end. He is the image of the invisible and eternal Creator, the right hand of God.

Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

All shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. The right hand of God has declared it (Romans 14:10).

Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That unto me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess (Isa 45:23).

I Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The rulers at the first advent of Christ did not know Him, because of the hardness of their hearts. If they had known Him, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Cor 2:8, Mark 3:5).

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christ did not say that He would come again and receive us unto Himself and his Father. He did say however “I and the Father are one (John 10:30).

Acts 2:33 Therefore being the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, even Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

When Bible translators attempt to make the right hand of God literal, they are claiming that Christ Jesus is separate from God.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

To reflect on the true meaning and implications of the verse above, it is imperative to compare it with the entire Word of God. Only then will it become evident that the right hand of God is a descriptive metaphor of the power of God.

The enemy has tampered with the truth in all modern day Bibles, and especially through the watered down new age Bible versions. Below is one of them, where Christ simply has a place of honor next to God.

Col 3:1 (NLT) Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at the right hand of God.

To say, “since you have been raised”, assumes that this has already occurred.

But, the phrase “If you then are raised up with Christ” would be the end result of achieving this goal.

Psalms 18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

There is a world of difference between sitting at the right hand of God and demonstrating the power of the right hand of God.

We are offered a new life in Christ. But we must submit to his lordship and truly follow Him, not just in word but in deed (Col 3:17, 1 John 3:18).

When we die to this world and the lusts thereof, we can have newness of life in Christ Jesus (Col 3:3).

If we are risen with Christ, then we are Born Again, or Baptized with the Holy Spirit. When we fully embrace this new life we can be taught the truth by or through his Spirit.

1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Christ does not sit in a place of honor, at God’s right hand. He is the right hand of God. He alone has the power to save and to condemn.

Christ <G5547> himself <G2076> dwells <G2521> as <G1722> the right hand (or power) <G1188> of God <G2316>. Col 3:1 (KJV)

We are to set our affections on the things above, not on the things of the earth. There is a huge difference between thinking about the things of Heaven, and setting our affection on things above. The words high, and mind, in the following verses have the same meaning as those things which are above.

Phl 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Note: If you are not willing to do a Strongs search that will verify the above as true Do Not respond with what your pastor has taught you or what you think your version of the Bible states!
Furthermore, if Christ does indeed sit at the right hand of God
Then there are two God's

1 Tim 2:3-5 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Jesus who is and was God, was manifest in the flesh because God who is a Spirit can't die.The man Christ Jesus was no longer a man after His resurrection!

The man Christ Jesus was no longer a man after His resurrection!

If that ⬆️ were true, then why does Paul say there "is" (not was) "one mediator between God and human beings, the man Christ Jesus?"

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and human beings, the man Christ Jesus,
Don't you believe there "is" one God?
Don't you believe there "is" one mediator, "the man Christ Jesus"?

don't understand your question

Are you saying the Father and Son are the same exact person? Oneness doctrine is one of the most ridiculous doctrines out today, mostly pushed by Pentecostals. The Father created all things through his Son by the power of the Spirit. There is no trinity either.

Isaiah 41:13: “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Jesus was God. If we recall the references in the old testament to the right hand , Yamen in Hebrew, that may help understand the new testament symbolism.

All references like that in both old and new testaments were symbols intending to create a bigger picture than what was taught just in reading a text. Or having it read to the faithful in those cases where the listening audience were largely illiterate. The reading of the text and symbols used and their traditional meaning gave a broader teaching to the people than mere words could relate.

Word Study - Right Hand

Isaiah 41:13: “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

"Jesus" was not YHWH. You can't mix up the Father with the Son. The Son was the Messenger (Angel) of Yahuwah (Malak Yahuwah), the Word or Yahuwah, the capyian of Yahuwahs host, and Son also declared himself Alahym, which has a different meaning than the modern definition of God.

I too have mistakenly responded after mistakenly bunching the quote with my own words.
Yes, Jesus was God. As Mary was told when the angel appeared to her with the offer to bear him as a babe into this world. And told Mary the name by which he was to be called, a name that would inform all his people of his identity, was Emmanuel, "God with us".
More than one scripture in the testament informs us of this fact when Emmanuel himself stated that he was the Father. "I and the Father are One"
And of course there is the eternal scripture that immediately recalls this fact. "In the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh and dwelt among us. "

I never denied Yahuwshuwas (Jesus)divinity, what I'm saying is he is not YHWH (Yahuwah). You can't mix up the Father with the Son. They are one, not literally one entity, They are one in perfect harmony and one mind. But two separate beings. Just like he calls the church to be "one" with him.

Is anyone here stupid enough to think that Jesus has been sitting on a chair for 1953 years? Seriously?

This thread reminds me of a religious TV show I was watching the other night. I don't remember who the lady teaching from the bible was and don't remember the name of the show or even the channel as it was very late and I was channel surfing. I only watched for a few minutes because touched something I used to believe, but no longer hold to be true. She talked about how Jesus cried out to the Father "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" while up on the cross. I had been taught the Father could not look upon sin and turned away from the Son and continued to do so as Christ preached the Gospel in hell. I had held this belief for decades until a Bible teacher by the name of Tim Warner pointed out how ridiculous that teaching is. Tim asked "Do you believe in the Trinity?" I said "Yes". He said then you can't believe the Trinity is conditional or that it can be influenced by any situation. My pride got in the way of me accepting what he taught and I refused it for 2 or 3 years before I gave up and thought...."of course it's ridiculous".

She talked about how Jesus cried out to the Father "Why hast Thou forsaken Me?" while up on the cross.
I believe most translations put it this way, "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?" Not "My Father, My Father, why hast thou forsaken Me?"

When did Emmanuel say he was the Father?
If you know the Bible enough to argue against what is written in it, you know those many scriptures in both old and new testaments. Starting, as previously mentioned, with the passage in Matthew. Wherein Mary was told what she would name her son and why. Emmanuel = God with us.
Doesn't get much clearer than that.

I never said you did. And I never stated nor implied that anyone in this thread or on this site, in any thread I've participated in, was not a Christian.
Emmanuel was begotten on Mary through the actions not of a man but the holy spirit. The angel that contacted Mary with this offer to bear the son of God into the world told her that his name would be Emmanuel, Matthew1:23, which, the angel told her, means, God with us.
That's as clear as it gets. God with us.
The Jews who would be introduced to young Emmanuel would know the meaning of that name because Judaism is filled with symbolism, from the top down. From the names of persons translated to numbers, from the names of persons having deeper meaning in translation. Even the animals used in the scriptures in the Torah had meaning.
Then all those scriptures wherein Emmanuel during his ministry told his disciples that he was the Father. "I and my Father are one."
Jesus appeared in flesh to be the son of a man. He was the son, the sum, of God. He was indwelt with the holy spirit at his baptism. People witnessed that so as to further understand the meaning of his ministry when he taught them why they should be baptized.
Jesus was God. They are inseparable. That's scripture. Not opinion. I'm not questioning your faith in any way. I'm simply telling you that you need to read the scriptures more thoroughly to find out who Emmanuel was.

Wow Christians have different views. Maybe we were meant to struggle with all these things. I don't think there is any aspect of theology that someone somewhere disputes. My take: Jesus remains a man to this day. He's our man in heaven. Jesus is fully God, as is the HS as is the Father. ONE being, three persons. God does not have a right hand (it's a metaphor) and neither does Jesus actually sit on a throne (another metaphor that the Jews would fully understand.) It's a position of importance. Could there be an actual throne? I don't see why not. But it's not important to quibble over. Jesus' place is at His Father's right hand. Discovering what that means is all that matters, not the incidental stuff.
