Florida got roughed up pretty bad, but it could have been a lot worse. Obviously more people were praying, fasting and repenting, Getting in the Spirit and praying is so much supernatural power involved that it begins to make sense to me why scripture says, Pray without Ceasing.

Check this. Just a short while back, an evil cloud covered America. It looked exactly like it could happen today. But something happened...it's gone. You people have been praying, haven't you?! I can tell. God took that great evil that was created by HAARP and used it as a warning instead of letting them kill so many more people that would have died. It set them back and bought us time.

Nevertheless the scripture is there. Wars, rumors of wars, hurricanes, Earthquakes...pestilence...and on and on. Who thinks we might be up for an earthquake or three here in America next?

I feel it's a strong possibility.

Haarp,a massive signal array evil.

You.do realize that the navy uses the ocean. To signal the subs .a sub can't always surface and deploy it's signal buoy.

Am power ,it's deadly ,very deadly.plenty of am signal can be recieved all over and its used to communicate but it's probe to static, noise.im.not an expert bUT it's what I have read up on.a person can be fried from a simple signal from your radio station.

From what we understand about plate tectonics, it's a given that the more time that passes the greater the likelihood of an earthquake and the longer things remain quiet the greater the likelihood that said earthquake will be more powerful as the tensions continue to build.

We know earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, floods, droughts, etc. happen often. The United States is especially prone to tornadoes with an average of over 1,000 occurrences per year. In 2011 there were 1,894 recorded tornadoes. Sometimes we may experience a longer time-span between events but we can be relatively certain sooner or later something will happen.

As powerful as these latest storms were, they weren't the worst to hit the US coast. There were three recorded category 5 hurricanes - Andrew in 1995, Camille in 1969, and The Labor Day hurricane in 1935. It's interesting to note they were all about 30 years apart give or take. With a category 5 hurricane it is expected that devastation is complete and nothing is left standing. That is why there is no such thing as a category 6.

The years 2004 and 2005 were especially turbid. In 2004 there were four - Charley (cat. 4), Ivan (cat. 3), Jeanne (cat. 3), Frances (cat. 2), and Gaston (cat 1). In 2005 there were three - Katrina (cat. 3), Rita (cat. 3), and Wilma (cat. 3).

Since 2008 things have been exceptionally quiet. The only hurricanes to make landfall since Ike in 2008 were Isaac (cat.1) in 2012 and Ingrid (cat. 1) in 2013. Essentially, we were due. In a nutshell, this is not an unusual year.

Right here in central Minnesota things are relatively safe. We do have the threat of the occasional tornado but we are on the very northern edge of tornado ally. We also have experienced some pretty strong straight line winds. I remember back in the mid 90's one time we got hit with a storm that included 90mph (145kph) winds accompanied by golf ball sized hail. The paint on our house looked like it has been sand blasted on the west and south sides, a few windows, and we lost about 25 trees in the grove around our home. My crops (soybeans, wheat, and hay) were totally destroyed. When I got home from work four hours later, there was still about 6" of hail on our front porch. Hail storms happen often enough around here that most farmers purchase hail insurance for their crops.

There's always the potential for heavy snows and blizzards here as well although the winters have been pretty quiet over the past 15 years or so. Except for the extra shoveling we often see the snow storms as opportunity for play.

If there is anything that im afraid of its a tornado. I have never seen one and i dont want too either, they just scare me. I would rather the most severe hurricane, earthquake, volcano, anything at all but a tornado. Even just a small tornado. They haunt me. Disturbing things they are.

There was one right on my street during the hurricane, one of my neighbors saw it. There was tons of tornado warnings during that storm, I was terrified.
Though I hear in tornado alley they're such a part of life the residents are just like "oh, is it Wednesday again?"
But I get you. I used to have bad dreams about tornados. I find them both terrifying and fascinating.

I'll never forget one night when we experienced a tornado up close and personal. Fortunately, there was little damage and I account that to answered prayer.

It was in the spring of 2002. We had hired a contractor to replace the roof and siding on our home. During the day, they had stripped off the old cedar siding and wrapped the house with a house wrap. About 3:30 the next morning I woke up to hear thunder off in the distance so I got up and closed windows.

I was laying there listening to the approaching thunderstorm when I began to notice a change in the thunder. Instead of the flash of lightening followed by the rumble of thunder it seemed like the thunder was nonstop. I got up to take a look outside out of curiosity from the strange sound. When I looked out the window toward the security light on our power pole about 100' away I could see dust, leaves, and other debris whipping across the lawn in an arch and then lifting upward. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, what a big dust devil!" It then occurred to me that I was looking at the vortex of a twister on the front lawn!!

I woke my wife, we each grabbed a child, and headed down two flights to get to our basement. I have never in my life heard wind like that before. I had always heard it sounded like a freight train and now I believe it.

As we huddled in the basement listening to the roaring wind we heard a loud crash and then we could see water running down along the basement walls. I began to pray for God to protect our family. After a couple minutes (that seemed like eternity) the wind got dead quiet and I recall telling my wife it was the eye of the storm and it will get windy again. Sure enough the wind came back again for another couple minutes before quieting down again. We fully believed there would be no house above us when it was over.

In the end, the loud crash we heard was from the contractor's scaffolding being blown over. All the windows were closed but our kitchen floor was completely wet. The only thing we can figure is that the rain was forced right through the walls or around the edges of the windows but no windows were broken. The only damage sustained was a large elm tree about 50' from the house had the top half twisted a full 180 degrees and laid into the grove.

I immediately thought of our neighbors to the NE whose house was up on a hill as that would be the typical travel route around here. I jumped into my truck and went over there and everything was fine. The next day you could see evidence of its path as trees were uprooted along about a 2 mile stretch. Nobody's house was damaged and nobody was hurt.
