Your thoughts ? I think first we are the temple of the Lord but I think Israel will build another temple complete with the Ark of the Covenant

There never will be a third one built as the temple mount will never be given back to the Jews and here is the reason why. Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times all because Israel never repented of their sin of idolatry when they were allowed back into their land again in 538 BC after their seventy year Babylonian exile and the land fell under the leader of the Roman Empire that still has diplomatic ties with Jerusalem today.

When the second temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans other Roman temples were built there and destroyed during various revolts up to the fourth century. From the fourth century the temple mount laid undeveloped until the Muslim Siege of Jerusalem in 637 CE. Between 689-691 CE the Muslims built the Dome of the Rock which stands today, but now under renovations that have to do with the prophecy of the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 and the great falling away before the return of Jesus.

John in Rev 11 was to measure the Spiritual temple of God as being those who are truly in Christ through the Spiritual rebirth that worship Him in all truths, John 3:3-7, which make up the temple of God as being the body of Christ. The symbolic here represents God separating and protecting His people. The temple of God is no longer made by hand since the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom, Matthew 27:50, 51; Acts 7:48-51. The temple of God is within man that has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that keeps himself undefiled before the Lord, Matthew 27:51; Mark 7:15-23; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17.

The Second Coming of our Christ is seven years after the Rapture of the Church.

The rapture happens at His second coming.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

The resurrection and rapture happen at His coming. The second coming.

fhg , your opinion on these scriptures Romans 11:25-27 Luke 21:24 fulness of the gentiles

fhg , your opinion on these scriptures Romans 11:25-27 Luke 21:24 fulness of the gentiles

The fullness of the Gentiles makes up all of Israel that will be saved. As Ephraim mixed himself up with other nations that was a foreshadowing of the Gentiles being grafted into Israel meaning all of Israel will be saved that have faith in God as being part of the covenant God made with Abraham, Genesis 12:1-3; 48:17-19; Hosea 7:8. Jesus told the Apostles to proclaim the Gospel first in Jerusalem, then Judea, then Samaria and then to the ends of the world, Acts 1:8; 8:14-17, Samaria is the fulfillment of the restoration of Israel as both Jew and Gentiles both dwelt there.

Camp David peace accords between Israel and Egypt, brokered by American president Jimmy Carter could fit that.
Don't wast your time looking for His return.
He'll return when He's ready.
Meanwhile:
Luk 18:8 b "Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?"
Mat 24:45-46 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.

Our job is to be faithful, not to try and figure out when Jesus will return.

But "End Times Mysteries Revealed!!!" fills the pews and brings a full collection plate so preachers distract the sheep with exciting, spectacular information that doesn't help anyone focus on growing if holiness.

I think you make a lot of sense here, lol. We don't need to know the details..only the season. The season is, he's at the door, coming through it. We best be watchin....

Thanx, I'll have to ponder on that .. Since every generation is new but passes every 70-80 yrs will the last generation hear the gospel in all the nations of the world at the same time to fulfill the gospel prophesy because of modern day tech or if any in any nation at any time been preached to then or ever but not now qualify as all cumulatively in that prophesy .

There will be no technology as there will be three angels in the midst of heaven having the everlasting Gospel and every nation and every tongue will hear what they proclaim. Rev 14:6-12

We are not caught up to Jesus until He returns as described in Rev 19. Many teach that the Church will be Raptured out of here before Gods wrath (tribulation), but according to these scriptures the body of Christ who are still alive at Christ coming will be here on earth during the time of the greatest tribulation this world has ever seen nor will ever see again, Matthew 24:21.

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God

Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Rev 3:5; 19:8 Jesus is showing us to look for the signs of his coming

Rev 5:13; 6:16,17 On earth and under the earth are those who are still here until the end of days

Rev 6:9-11 Note where John says fellow servants and brethren that should be killed as they were and we are in the midst of the seven seals right now heading towards the seven trumpets

Rev 7:13-17 Which came out of great tribulation; fulfillment of the gentiles

Rev 8:13 Three woes are war, earthquakes, and meteors

Rev 13:11-18 Here John is showing us about the beast out of the sea that gives power to the beast out of the earth as we are warned to not take its mark

Rev 14:14-20 The harvest of Gods Children

Rev 16:11,15 And they repented not. If Christ returns in pretrib rapture then at that time the door of Salvation will be closed.

Rev 18:23, 24 We have now come out of great tribulation as mystery Babylon has been described and destroyed as we have not yet been caught up to be with the Lord until the last day.

Rev 19:7,8 We have made ourselves ready by enduring through Gods mighty wrath and refusing the mark of the beast

Rev 20:4-6 These verses show that we went through much annihilation and endured all things before the coming of the Lord.

Rev 20:12-15 The Great White Throne judgment and Jesus judgment for the works we did or did not do for him here on earth when the books are opened

Nice post
Thanx fhg , I didn't mean for you to trouble yourself posting all those scriptures . I trust your thoughts and opinions and you know if I have a question I will ask for further clarification, thanx again .. Revelation seems to run in circles to me and I admit I don't get a clear picture as I'd like ..

Then you must have three events of Christ arriving on in the Earth because the thousand year reign and the seven day/year reign of Anti-Christ rule must also take place.

I do not see that in the scriptures. My reading speaks to me that Jesus is a Historical Fact from the First Century, He was here and walked on the Earth.

When He returns for the Rapture He will not touch the Earth but will stand on the cloud and Catch Us Away in the Rapture. However, when He appears seven years later, He will not only walk into Old Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, He will walk through that Gate the foolish Muslims Concreted Shut. Paltry Concrete walls will not stop God, no matter how much steel they reinforce it with. That 16 foot of concrete will not restrain the LORD and when He walks on the Earth, I and millions of others consider that to be His second Coming. It is only then that He takes the Throne and rules with the iron rod. In these verses, Jesus, if we are careful, gave an idea of the order of events to come, not the timing, just the order.

It appears to me, from the context, that, in addition to Jesus' return as King of the World, the surroundings will change and God might remove the great delusion?

I have no earthly idea what you mean by this statement.

Here is the simple straightforward scripture that shows us that the resurrection and rapture, occur at His coming.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

The context of this scripture that deals with the resurrection and rapture refers to this event occurring at His coming.

  • that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord
  • the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
  • And the dead in Christ will rise first.
  • Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them

Since He has already come and appeared once in the flesh, the next coming would be the Second coming or Second appearing.

The resurrection and rapture occur at His coming: His Second Coming.

so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28

  • He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

No such thing as the third coming.

He will come and appear a second time, to gather His people at the resurrection/rapture, in which we will all be together with Him, as He descends to Jerusalem and removes all the wicked from the earth, to reign and and rule from His throne in Jerusalem.

His feet will stand on the mount of Olives.

Behold, the day of the Lord is coming,
And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
The city shall be taken,
The houses rifled,
And the women ravished.
Half of the city shall go into captivity,
But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Then the Lord will go forth
And fight against those nations,
As He fights in the day of battle.
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
Yes, you shall flee
As you fled from the earthquake
In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.

Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with You.

Zechariah 14:1-5

This is what Jesus taught His disciples about, from the mount of Olives in Matthew 24.
