Who was the "foremost or chief sinner", Paul or some "tempter" inside of him? What does the verse actually say, smaller? You are reading your theology into the verse.

The statement of fact, from Paul, is this:

1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Not "was" chief or "used to be chief" but "I AM", present tense, post salvation. We also know that sin is of the devil, 1 John 3:8.

I don't know about you, but I can certainly look to the devil, the tempter, in that statement and not blame and accuse Paul.

So, Paul calls himself the "chief of sinners", not some tempter inside of him. That must mean that Paul considers himself a sinner. So do I. Do you consider yourself a sinner?

We've covered this ground repeatedly. Paul did not claim to be sinless and in fact showed the opposite conclusion. 1 Tim. 1:15

It is exactly on the ground of personal needs that God's Mercy and Grace abide, certainly not on works, that Paul laid his Gospel.

As to sin, my measures are what Jesus provided. Evil thoughts defile me, not one bit differently than what happened to Paul, expose'ed in Romans 7:7-13. I have no issues connecting this operation to Mark 4:15.

I know. We agree here. Paul claimed he committed actual sin. He didn't claim a demon sinned through him.

There are numerous Biblical examples of demons being addressed by people, most notably by Jesus Himself. Don't you think if demons residing within people sinning through them was a true doctrine, Paul would have differentiated between them and himself? But he said "...I am chief (of sinners)" not "my demons are chief...".

Paul did not escape this conclusion of scriptural fact from John the Apostle, about his own indwelling sin:

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil;

And aligns himself totally with this sight, himself, here:

2 Corinthians 12:7
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Sin indwells the flesh of all, and IS of the devil.

Jesus even tells us this fact, about how Satan enters the heart, yes, enters and SINS:

Mark 4:15
