There's Frank Peretti too, those are some good books!

I'm'a have to look these guys up that you mentioned. I'm unfamiliar with any of them.
Edward: So is his work fantasy as well?

Blessings.

you know i started a book from frank peretti "piercing the darkness" but i havent reached far.:shrug have to continue where i left off

I see a lot of references to the Peretti guy, though I've not read any of his stuff.

It's pretty darn good reading. A little scary unless you realize that Jesus will win, then no need to skip to the back of the book! LOL. He has a hard time with the beast but..oh wait no spoilers!

A lot of Peretti reviews out there, anyway...

If you like anime, there is a Christian anime series with such titles as Manga Messiah that was published in Japan. You can find it at the Next Manga website.

Screwtape letters is a book about good vs evil written from the demons point of view. ;)
Edward:

I tried to read the Screwtape Letters.

I found it heavy going, actually.

Precisely, Satan does not want you reading the book. It contains far too much truth.

And no love for Tolkien?

Here are other ones to look at: Ted Dekker, Donita K. Paul, Wayne Thomas Baston, James D. Maxon, Shawn Lamb (Huguenot Sword), Lisa Tawn Bergren, Daniel McHugh, Anne Elisabeth Stengl, J.S. Chancellor, William D. Burt, Bryan Davis, Madeleine L’Engle, Chuck Black, L.B. Graham, Craig W. Dressler and John White.

Tried getting into the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis but it just doesn't work out. Just the way it reads is not really.. comfortable? Like it doesn't make you want to read more, which I like in books when they do.

Anyway, a book I am currently reading is "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti, it's a really good book.
Just a bit of info I copied from Wikipedia:
This Present Darkness is a Christian novel by Frank E. Peretti. Published in 1986 by Crossway Books, This Present Darkness was Peretti's first published novel for adults and shows contemporary views on angels, demons, prayer, and spiritual warfare as demons and angels interact and struggle for control of the citizens of the small town of Ashton. It is critical of Eastern and New Age spiritual practices, portraying meditation as a means of demonic possession.

The book title is from Ephesians 6:12. :)

Tolkien reader here since I was a kid. All the rest of the authors you listed...whoa, I haven't heard of any of them...and I'm a reader! At least, I thought I was lol. Are those fantasy authors? That could explain it. I haven't read a lot of fantasy but I have some. Nada Lada christian fantasy at all in fact. I was heavy into science fiction for the longest time, before I found the book of books! Mostly Heinlein, Bradbury, Asimov and others. Can you recommend any especially good books by any of the authors you listed?

The ones I listed are mostly fantasy Christian writers and Heinlein, Asimov et al I'd call science fiction. Madeleine L'Engle is the only one I'd call sci fi out of that bunch and I loved A Wrinkle in Time. Of the rest I like Shawn Lamb the best because he is more historical fiction along the lines of a Bernard Cornwell (Sharpe series, etc) and coming from Huguenot stock I really liked the Huguenot Sword and appreciated the human face it put on my ancestors for me. Craig W. Dressler has fantasy books he's written, but my favorite book of his is Heart of Terror that reads more like a Jack Reacher or Scott Horvath novel.

Huguenot history is fascinating.
