sorry I get them confused. I knew it was about puerto rico. thanks for the heads up. Yes it's about lies and corruption. But what I wanted to point out is how the mayor said trump did not do his job, when in reality they were not doing theirs.

Right now the problem is clean water... meaning dysentery. Soon cholera...

Then comes the mosquitoes bringing dengue fever, zitka virus, and many other diseases.
The sewer system is without power...
And the trees have lost leaves and branches. Jobs and economy have yet to start back...so no income for these people or their Government.
The government is having trouble meeting payroll. Meaning police and others are even more susceptible to bribery and extortion.
    Communications are still spotty.

And Trump is tweeting that FEMA shouldn't still be working there. (He doesn't mind that FEMA is still in Texas, though).

    That's the way Trump rolls.

    There's reasons.
The main reason is that the aide is being blocked and utilized by corrupt. And the whole time Trump's administration is being blamed. It's partisan politics making the people suffer... possibly die.

Everyone on the Federal side was ready for action once the hurricane left... except for the corrupt and inept government of Puerto Rico. They only were interested in picking pockets.

Yep. Puerto Ricans are mostly Hispanic. And not many of them voted for Trump.

Maybe. But he's the only president we have. And he didn't use that excuse. He just tweeted that FEMA was already too long in Puerto Rico, even though FEMA is still working in Texas.

FEMA doesn't operate by local politicians. So if there's a corruption problem, it's on Trump's watch.

He was slow to react. But the initial fumbling was more incompetence than malice, I think. Trump's claim that Texas deserves more FEMA time than Puerto Rico is another thing entirely.

I think you know, that's not what he';s said. He said FEMA and the military can't stay there forever. Unquestionably true.

OK. FEMA and the military can't stay in Texas and Florida forever.

At some point, the rescue and relief part of the operation has to end. Then the rebuilding phase can start. Rebuilding is not the responsibility of FEMA and the military.

I'm not a fan of President Trump, I really don't like the guy. But, I don't try to find a way to put a negative spin around everything he tweets or doesn't tweet.

Here's the thing, while I do think there is legitimate cause to wonder where Trump lies on race I will throw him a bone here, I doubt the Puerto Rico response was rooted in race. Not joking here I mean it. I think it was more a mark incompetance than anything but that in no way makes him a racist. I also don't think that his tweet, though could be possibly considered a race thing (though again I think it is unlikely). I think it was a petty, immature jab at the mayor to get back for her acting like a human and panicking in a bad situation (her original comment that started the fued did not call out Trump, that is a fact) thereby in his mind undermining him. So nope if I am being objective race is a big ole unprovable thing so it is not worth diving into. But Trump has always been vengeful. Always, in any issue insulting his ego. Still not a mark in his favor as a leader, but I do agree the race claims need to die (on this issue) because there are several other factors that likely were the cause of this.

And that is how it should be. Shame more people aren't like that.
