Hello all just popping in to say hello. I am new here only just signing up now. I wanted to say hello to everyone and to wish you all a very Happy NEW YEARS! for 2018 and hopwe God blesses you all as you continue to seek him through His Word.

LoveGodsWord,

Welcome to CFnet. I trust that you'll have many other times of fellowship online with us.

Since you are saying, G'day, are you from Down Under? I'm from Brisbane, Qld. it was a sweltering hot Christmas Day yesterday with max temp of 36C = 96.8F.

This was followed by a nice storm and lightning (power was off for 1.25 hours) that cooled things down and delivered 67mm of rain in my suburb. That's 2.64 inches. It's so much cooler that I can sit here in my office with the window open and no ceiling fan or air-con running. It's expected to heat up to a max of 29C today. Here in SE Qld, it's a humid heat.

What are the temperatures where you live?

Blessings in Christ,
OzSpen

hi, and welcome to our little corner of The Internet. I hope you enjoy your time here and that this place (and the people here, too, of course..) can help facilitate The Lord's work in your life. :)

Hi OzSpen thank you very much for the kind welcome. Yes I am in Qld as well. This is the hottest time of the year I guess for us. I like the winters best but everyday is a blessing :biggrin2

Hi CE, thank you my friend for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to finding my way around. The site was recommended by a freind. I was dropping by to say hello to an older friend that hangs out here sometimes so started an account.

It is funny though as there is another website with the same name as this one called Christian Forums (https://www.christianforums.com/) when my friend at another site said Christian Forums I thought he was talking about the other forum that I was already a member of and not this one. Maybe they are related as the format seems similar.

God bless

It's a pleasure to welcome you here Brother LoveGodsWord in Jesus name. Merry Christmas and I hope to be a happy New Year for us all in fellowship with one another. :wave2

Hi Eugene, so nice to meet you my friend and thankyou very much for the kind welcome here. May Jesus bless you and your family over the Christmas and New Years break as well. Thank you all indeed

LGW,

I'm in Burpengary (outer northern suburb of Brissy). In which part of the Sunshine State do you live? I was born and bred in sugar country of Bundaberg.

A storm is rumbling as I write. It was another hot one today with humidity. Air-conditioning was used a bit at my place, but with coming of the storm temps cool down a bit. Max here today was 29C but it is expected to go into the 30s tomorrow.

I enjoy test cricket and Big Bash cricket. I'm about to watch tonight's Big Bash while I enjoy left over prawns from yesterday and some coleslaw - and a Magnum. There are a few cherries left as well. They are a little cheaper now that the inflated Christmas prices have finished.

LGW,

This forum is https://www.christianforums.net/. The other is https://www.christianforums.com/.

The difference is with the tag of net/ vs com/.

May you enjoy your time on this net/ site.

Another Australian. I live in Gladstone. I wish you SE QLDers would send your storms our way for a change!

Jo,

It also has been exceptionally dry here until the storm last night. Only 4 days ago I put the sprinkler on at the back of my villa because the grass looked like that in the desert. Now we get this lovely rain.

Since God 'causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous' (Matt 5:45 NIV), rain will come in His time. How are the dam levels in your region?

Dam levels here in the Moreton Bay Region are at the 78.4% level.

Let's pray together for rain to fall in the Gladstone region in God's time.

Blessings,
Oz

At the end of November was still over 100 %. http://www.gawb.qld.gov.au/dam-levels

It's the actual electrical storm I crave. I used to live in Toowoomba and the storms up there in the mountain ranges were incredible. Just a little bit of altitude makes a big difference.

It a lovely sound to hear it on my colour bond roof and the way the grass and trees brighten up is something to behold. In this link, you can see the clouds/heavy clouds coming across my region from the satellite image right now (11.12pm): http://www.weatherzone.com.au/qld/southeast-coast/burpengary.
