Already made some posts and decided it was about time I introduced myself. Australian. Married. Old and wrinkly. Brain still works. Mostly.

Had an experience of Christ as a teenager and walked with Him ever since. Not always an easy walk.

Never belonged to a Christian forum before. I'm not that social. Tend to hang back and watch. I had a boss some years ago who, after three years said I had incredible compassion for people and he was waiting for me to run out but I never did. He knew I was a Christian. I can't properly explain the compassion. I can be very intolerant. But when working with someone I have this way of kind of looking to God in my head and wondering what He might want me to do. All sorts of people I have been with and initially struggled (murderer, homosexual, sex-changed, motor-bike gang leader, drug runner, ex-crim, thief) I found by looking to God, my attitude changed and I had compassion. I reckon it was God sharing some of His compassion with me. And also his strength because not easy to deal with certain ones and other workers would be afraid of them. I reckon I still need more patience with people.

The strange thing is, the older I get, the more mysterious God seems to be. I have certainly grown in my faith and understanding of Scripture. However, I still wonder about a lot of things and am not fully satisfied with explanations I have heard about some of the mysteries. But that is okay because I don't have to know everything to get to heaven since it is Jesus I trust, not knowledge.

So a big 'hello' to you all. Nice to be here. Look forward to interacting with you in this forum.
