and ithink Photoshop is better but the gimp has stuff photoshop doesnt
 
Gimp plus Inkscaspe together are a pretty combination that equals or exceeds Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

Adobe Photoshop was somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 bucks last time I checked it out. PSP was just under 100.

Inkscape, like the Gimp is GNU and a free download. What you can't do with the Gimp, Inkscape will do quite well for you.
