Girls vs boys (counting game)

Girls count up and boys count down.
Girls win if the count gets to 1000. Boys win if the count gets to 0.

Two rules:
1) No consecutive posts. At least one person needs to post before you can post again.
2) You may only count up/down by one number.

We will start at 500

If the next poster is a male, the count will go down to 499
if the next poster is a female, the count will go up to 501
