OK. the life I have now is...well, not perfect...but much, much better than expected. I could easily be: in poverty, in prison, in the state hospital, etc. etc. etc. I"m healthy, bright eyed, intelligent, reconciled to my (long suffering, loving, kind, generous, awesome) parents, living in their rather nice home, and...and....

look, I may be "severely mentally ill" now, but I was just another one of "society's rejects" before Jesus saved (is saving, I pray will save...) me. Happens. Every Christian is a wretch before Jesus saves them; I was just...wow. Particularly wretched, let's put it that way.

I'm even developing and being blessed with some of that "compassion" I keep hearing so much about. Like, the neighbors who give me a hassle, for instance. It dind't dawn on me until now--when I saw some stuff for sale in their front yard--they're in and of the world, they don't have much, and here I am, not "playing by the rules," living off my (now, recently) well-to-do parents, etc. Doesn't -excuse- their behavior, but...I'm not feeling as harsh and vindictive towards them, which is most definitely The Lord's work in my life.

I don't know if I"ll ever have a j-o-b. You know what you call a mental patient with a job? A mental patient. LOL. Seriously; stigma sticks, big time. At least with my people behind me, I can get disability and the days are....mine, basically. Not that I live all luxuriously or whatever, just...I get some much-needed -breathing room-, and that's a huge (good) change from what came before.

Once was blind, now I see. 'Twas grace that saved a wretch like me. To be honest, now that I'm saved and healthy and all that, I'm kind of...surprised, to put it mildly. God is good!

OK. Praise Report o' The Day. :)
