In Part I we spoke about God Father being the Creator.

God Father is Omnipotent

Omni means All in Greek.
Potent means Powerful

God is all-powerful. He possesses unlimited power. This is obvious from what God has created. Everything.
Everything seen and unseen. Nothing is impossible for God to accomplish. His will causes all to exist. He is the Lord of the Universe and of the laws of the universe. They function by His power. He is the Lord of History
and nothing happens unless God so wills it. He is sovereign and rules over everything, material and human.

One of God's names is El Shaddai, which means self-sufficient and Almighty. He is in need of no one.
God is perfect and good, therefor all He creates is perfect and good. In Genesis 1 we read that everything God created on earth was good. Since there is no evil in Him, He cannot create evil. If he could, it would mean that God himself has evil within Him. God cannot do anything that would go against His nature. He cannot even lie, Hebrews 6:18.

  • God is Omnipotent in Creation
    Isaiah 44:24 – “This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself.”
  • God is Omnipotent in Salvation
    Jude 24-25– “To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
  • God is Omnipotent in the Resurrection
    John 10:17-18 – “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

  • God is Omnipotent in Understanding
    Psalm 147:5 – “Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.”

Because God is omnipotent, we can go to Him in confidence since He is able to help us with all our problems.
Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Jesus told us in the Beatitudes that the poor in spirit are blessed (happy). Mathew 5:3
The poor in spirit are happy because they realize how much they are in need of God in their lives.

1 Peter 5:6
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.”

John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing”
