Can anyone recommend a good commentary on the wisdom literature of the Bible (Book of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Wisdom of Solomon, and Sirach)? Either good studies of individual books or a thorough overview. Thanks.

Hi Hezekiah~

David Guzik's Commentaries on the Bible on StudyLight.org
http://www.studylight.org/com/guz/ This site has comprehensive studies on all the wisdom books in the Bible.
Sorry~ I do not know how to hyperlink sources within the forum yet.
Mr. Guzik's studies are very comprehensive and usually include much historical background as well as great study resources. Plus the studies may be downloaded to MP3 for portability. 8-) bonnie

pssst... just post the link without any tags and it will post up just fine. 8-) I removed the
Code:
[u][/u]
and it worked. ;-)

Why thank you fine sir, I shall follow your guidance... as soon as I can figure out what a tag is, that is.

Yeah, I really do not know what a tag is, like DUH.............. sorry to be so computer incompitent. :smt016 Inform further please. bonnie

Otay! Goto my post above and click on [SELECT ALL]. What it just highlighted are tags. The first tag executes the code and the second tag (the 'end tag') does just that; it ends the code. Some tags, like the 'u' 'b' or 'i' can be used IF you create a space between them and the code (a link in your case).

See "what is BBcode" here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/faq.php?mode=bbcode#f00

But I digress  , so here is the OP once more:
