Today is you probably already may know is Good Friday. The day that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for our sins by dying on the cross for them although He Himself was perfect and sinless. I have said the following prayer this morning and I simply ask that you say the same. I know in my heart that Jesus loves me so much otherwise He wouldn't have died for me because I really don't deserve it. And I love Him and appreciate Him so much because of it and the fact that He first loved me.

JESUS LOVES YOU! GOD BLESS :cross

Thank you Jesus as you endured horrendous torture even before being nailed to the cross that finished all your works while on earth. This is a love that is so hard to fathom and I will always worship and praise your name for such an undeserving love for a sinner such as I.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

We all might be sinners on here, but I am probably one of the more sinners undeserving of His love on here. Nobody knows how awful I treated Him in the past. You wouldn't even believe it if I told you all of the awful things I said and did in my teenage years. :sad

You are not a minority sis as many of us could write a book on our teenage years that weren't very pleasing to the Lord..

Well that makes me feel a bit better, but I could write several books about it actually. I'm surprised that I didn't wind up behind bars for some of the things I said and did actually. But thankfully I have asked for forgiveness and He has washed away all of my sins and I have been made new. It's sort of funny that He's forgiven me such a long time ago and I still really haven't ever completely forgiven myself for the awful person that I was.

True, very true. Well I think that He does remember them, He just doesn't hold them against me since I have accepted Christ as my Savior. I would post a video for you that backs this statement up but you can't view them anyway so never mind lol you know, I just got a funny vision in my head of God watching us on a television screen with a humongous bowl of popcorn and being really amused with a lot of the behaviors that are demonstrated in the world today. Lol :lol :popcorn

Isaiah 43: 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

I really like those verses but are they saying that God will literally forget your sins? Or just the fact that He will never mention them and you won't be held accountable for them if you truly are saved?

Being this is Good Friday, I have been focusing on teachings about the blood and the Cross. One Biblical study teaching which helped me greatly understand just what Jesus accomplished on the Cross is this: "POWER OF THE CROSS" - Andrew Wommack

TRUE MEANING OF THE CROSS
"What Jesus accomplished on the cross is far more than the avoidance of hell. This teaching will change the way you see the cross and will help you more fully understand what Jesus did on the cross."

(1 hour long downloadable .MP3 Audio teaching).

He is the one TV Evangelist I do like to listen to as I agree with his teachings and he is not one of those prosperity preachers.

Hi Explorer55 and welcome to CF :)

There are a few skeletons in my closet and I shut the door, locked it and threw away the key :yes

Really?? You have skeletons in your closet?? I've got some too. And I think that some other people in my family might as well. Yep, we've got a few boneheads in ours for sure! :lol

Not sure if you know what I meant by skeletons as they are things done in my past that I am not proud of and actually ashamed of, but yet forgiven praise the Lord.

I know I was making a joke. God certainly didn't forget to give me a funny bone. *beats drum and crashes symbols*

As far as the east is from the west, that's how far the Cross removes our sins from us!! Blotted out, wiped away, nailed to the Cross, washed by His blood ...

all those are but the Scriptural statements that instantly pop into my mind, answering your question with a glorious "YES!!"

Usually I like to give Scripture references. In this case I prefer to merely introduce you to the language and concept so you can be alerted to keep an eye out for it as you read through your Bible
