It always kind of disappoints me that are not more testimonies, but that is not going to stop me from posting in the testimony section. I love what God does.
Jesus said that we would see greater things because He went to the right hand of the Father. And this is about perhaps the greatest thing I came across. I wasn't directly involved in it buy I have the story. And because of the way I got it, I believe it.
The Lord once had me open a Christian bookstore for a couple of years. I was talking to a couple of pastors one day and I got to talking about dying and coming back to life. The Lord had me reading some books about such events and giving teachings on it at that time. The pastor told me they had come across a man that claimed to have been dead eight day and had come back to life.
I asked the pastors who this man was, but they were not going to tell me. I understand. They didn't want to start just sending people over like you'd send someone to the zoo to see an interesting animal. But that didn't stop me. I wanted to meet this man. So I took it to the Lord! It's nice to have a friend like Him.
He got me up early a couple of days later and told me that He had an idea for my Christian bookstore. The idea was to see if some churches might be willing to take orders for me. He explained that we'd have to try it. He told me to check with my church, my parents church, and "............" (Sorry, I did mention I understood the pastor's reasoning)... "What church is that, Lord?", I asked. He reminded me that He had had me put up a map of the city with all the churches flagged on it.
Anyway, I talked to my church but nothing. I tried to talk to my parents pastor by he didn't have any time for me. Then a called up the other church and an elder told me to just come down before the Wednesday night service and talk to the pastor. Well that was easy. Though it didn't quite workout one man asked me if I could get him Christian karaoke. I thought I could and told him I would get back to him. We agreed to meet in the morning where he ran a little food giveaway ministry.
He had a bunch of chairs set up under a couple of big trees and was talking to a small group of people when I slid into one of the back seats. "I was dead eight days and God brought me back to life", were the first words I hear him telling the people.
OH MY!! This was the very guy I had God to hook me up with just a few days before. Roughly 150,000 people in our town and over 130 churches, and God lead me right to the man I wanted to hear from. It was amazing.
I showed him the information about the Christian karaoke, and he said he would look it over and come into the store to place an order. And he did. That following Saturday he came in and I got him to tell me the whole story personally. He had gone to the hospital with what he thought was gas pains. He suddenly passed out. He was having a heart attack and didn't know it. He died
So they put him in the morgue, waiting for the relatives to pick up the body. His daughter didn't have much money or time so it took a bit to get the body. Eight days later they pulled him out of cold storage, but they went off for a break. Another employee of the hospital waked by the morgue and heard a noise coming from inside and saw he flopping around on the floor like a fish out of water.
He woke up in a hospital bed with lots of tubes in him. He had to go to the bathroom and took all the stuff with him to the nearest door. He opened the door and thought He was looking down a hall way at a horribly sick looking man. It turned out to be a closet with a mirror and the man was his own reflection. What a way to come through.
He remember the Lord telling him a few things when he was dead. The Lord told him that he would have a ministry. The Lord told him that he would have a house. And the Lord told him that he would have a marriage.
He was just a warehouse worker and didn't make a lot o money. But it was a food warehouse and one day he got talking to a lady with a food ministry. He asked if she need food and she told him to get all he could. The warehouse gave her so much in filled almost every inch of her house. He finally took over that ministry because she was getting old and tired.
He went looking for a house with a realtor, but he could afford it. The realtor convinced him to put in a ridiculously low offer, which was all he could afford. They excepted the offer and he got a house.
When I talked to him he was still waiting on the marriage, but it wasn't going to be long. He didn't pick up the order so I went to his church only to find out that he had die again about the day after I had talked to him. So he got his marriage with the Lord and I was almost certainly the last one to get his testimony, and that because I asked the Lord to meet him. So I am passing it on to you. I hope you liked it.
