Hello All,
What a blessing and a pleasure it is to be here on Christian Forums. I am new to Forums in any sense, however, I look forward to learning my way around while having the freedom to fellowship with you all. Wow, freedom to fellowship!! This is truly amazing.
Well, I am a Christian from Houston, Texas. I love Jesus and I love Texas. I received The Lord Jesus Christ into my heart at tiny Baptist church in North Houston at the age of nine. I was also Baptized in water on that same Spring Sunday.
Though I strayed far, it was not too far for our Lord, He never left my side. " For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are unseen, but at the things which are not seen," 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) How reassuring this verse was and is to me, although I still knew what I was doing was wrong, and if I continued on that path surely there was only destruction ahead for my soul. He is always our power in our weakness and I knew I had to make it through, for the calling on my life for His glory depends upon it. It is an everyday duty to consciously make the decision to pick up The Cross and bear it, as He gives us a choice to do so.
He keeps in awe. He is my Father, my Husband, my Creator, He is my Everything.

I am ever so grateful to be here today, to share my story and hopefully to lend a hand and heart in guiding others who may or may not be struggling to make it through an ordeal.

It is a real pleasure welcoming you among us. With that testimony you have made many choices ensuring a life pleasurable to the glory of our Lord. It truly is His work in us that continues the conforming to the image of Christ, the opportunity to become the very bride of Jesus, and a life that many will observe as born of God more than all the words we may utter.
Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2

Welcome aboard young lady. But get out of Houston, to many Yanks and to much trouble. I grew up in Houston also but I live just north of Tomball now. We will be looking forward to exchanging posts with you to glorify our Father.

Fortunately, I am now in North Spring, not too far fromTomball. I greatly appreciate your welcome and also look forward to sharing Gods Living Word with you!

Blessings,

Welcome my precious sister in Christ.

What a wonderful heartfelt introduction you have given.

How amazing it is that even though we stray our Lord has not left us but actually is walking beside us, looking out for us, has come to find us and carry us on back on his shoulders.

I remember 29 years ago I ran away from God. Left where I lived and went to another city 150 miles away. I had a job interview (through and agency) which I went to, after that interview I went back to the agency just to give my thoughts. As I left and was half up the up street I was called back and told someone has just called and want to interview you, so I went.

I accepted the second job offer.

So I spent 3 years living as the prodical son in that city. I limped back into church (which I'm still in).

I remember coming before God and with so much guilt asking for forgiveness for running away from him.

He said to me "My son I knew what you were going to do, so I prepared a place, led you to the place I wanted you to be" I'm still in that place.

I'm still in that wonderful church ans now I am in ministry, have the most amazing Godly wife and four kids who are all Christians and I'm still in the same job, now as a director.

I chuckle to myself as I'm writing this but also emotional as to how our Father will never leave us.

The term "You can run but you can't hide" comes to mind.

Anyway sister, thanks for reminding us that even though we stray we can't stray too far and that Jesus never leagues our side.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Bill

Hello Angela B. That's a wonderful introduction to our Forum that you gave. I noticed that you joined on January 14th so you've had a chance to look around. I hope you have become familiar with the Forum rules and procedures. My very good friend Reba will help you if you need help getting around. She helped me in many ways when I was new.

So, enjoy our wonderful family here and all the different topics. We love you already! :hug
