Could you pray for me that God heals me from same-sex attraction?

Could you pray that God helps me see people through his eyes?

I recognize that homosexuality is an Abomination to God. And I know God did not create me to be a homosexual. That is a Lie from Satan.

I am seeking God for healing. And I hope you don't mind me asking for some prayer in this issue.

I deal with this, too. God has already done a mighty work in my life. This is includes changing me so the same-sex lusts are less of an issue. They're still there, but they don't go to the core of who I am ("washed and made clean," etc.). I find that I'm better able to "take a step back," and put my thoughts+feelings+actions into proper perspective, at least, much more than I ever did/could before Jesus saved me (is saving me, will save me...).

I'll definitely pray for you. Its not exactly something a lot of people are comfortable discussing, but it is important. :)

Jesse lifting you up in prayer. Have you sought out your pastor to discuss your struggles? You would be surprised how pastors are now geared and trained to help bring the love of the congregation of believers to those struggling.

God bless you and always remember....Jesus Christ is bigger than any sin or challenge we have. We must trust Him in all things.

No, I haven't really been to church lately. But I know that I should. So I may be reaching out to some of the churches in my town. I am disabled so it's hard for me to get to church. But in the past churches have been willing to come and pick me up
 
me (again). Personally, I've found that I remind myself that I am a creature, much loved by The Creator. Our relationship with God is anything but equal. He loves us, and He (agape) loves us in a way that makes allowances for our sins, flaws, imperfections, etc. Following along that line of thought...He loves me (and you, too, just as much....) --despise-- the same-sex lusts, the inclinations towards sodomy, and all the other flaws, imperfections, sins+sin patterns we bring to The Cross.

Which isn't to say that we remain the same during our Walk with The Lord. Far from it; "Know Jesus, Know Change." Still, no one--not even the most pious, devoted, season Christian--is 100% perfect this side of Heaven. We're sinful creatures, born into a Fallen World. The way I see it, I'm going to commit sins, struggle with sin-patterns, and, in general...deal with the grit and grime of the world until The Lord calls me home. Once we get to Heaven, we'll be made into perfect creatures. Still creatures, of course; we'll be in Heaven to adore and cherish The Lord, for all of eternity, our Savior, Redeemer, etc.

Point is...personally, I may deal with same-sex lusts+an incllincation towards sodomy for years to come. I find that The Lord has already changed my heart of hearts so that I deal with same-sex lusts, but I'm not in the world+of the world, living as an unrepentant sodomite and dealing with the fall out from all that, as I did in years past. Jesus saw fit to save me when I was who and what I was. He forgave me then, He's forgiving me now, living in my heart now, changing me now...despite who I was, what I did, all my problems, etc.

The same is true of you and any other Christian. He loves us even though we're scarred and marred by sin, satan, self, death, and the world.

Jesse you are in need and the Body of Christ His Church needs to come to your aid. Fellow Christians can't help if they don't know about you. Hope this does not seem terse, but we want to see you get the help of loving Christians and that starts with where they assemble. Pick up the phone and call a church and tell them you have transportation needs and you would like an appointment with the pastor to discuss attending their church. I think you will hear the phone drop as I can tell you they don't get many proactive calls like that.
