Ex 15:26 And He said, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the deseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer."

Isaiah 6:10 Render the hearts of this people dull, and their eyes dim, otherwise they might see with their eyes, understand with their hearts, and return and be healed.

Mat 13:15
FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’

There is a direct connection with hearing and obeying the Lord and your healing!!

Are there not too many people in our churches that are hurting and need healing? If so, is it because we are not listening to the Lord, as a group, like we should?

Psalm 78 :34 When He killed them, then they sought Him, And returned and searched diligently for God;

I have worked in a Christian healing ministry for some years, and I am convinced of this direct connections between hearing the Lord and people getting their healing. I am certain the Bible has it correct, and there is indeed a direct connection between His people searching for Him and hearing His voice and them getting the healer to heal them. More than any other time, I would try to carefully hear from the Lord while working in that ministry. I work at getting both those I was leading and those that came in for healing to hear from Him also. I general, I felt the results were remarkable. While the Lord thoughts are not my thoughts and His ways are not my ways, and so things didn't come to pass as I thought, never-the-less incredible things happened and it was clear that it was happening according to what He thought. It was clear that He thinks people should seek Him and listen to His voice. And if you don't listen, then what?

Deut 8:20 Like the nations that the Lord makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.

Ok, not every accident is the Lord killing you but whether it is or not, He is still your healer. I had hurt a knee while surfing and aggravated it by refereeing soccer matches. One day the Lord told me to go to that healing ministry that I wound up working in and instantly my knee got hot and healed when they prayed for it . That is, I listened to Him, and harken to His voice and at the appointed by Him time, He performed a miracle of healing. So if Christians are not seeking His voice and listening to Him, aren't they then going to miss their healing? For that and so many more reasons, I tell people, including Christians who should know this but too often don't, to seek the Lord and His words to them personally. It is the most caring things I can do for them.

It is the work of the devil to get people to doubt and to listen to other doubters and to weaken our faith.
And the devil has done a remarkably effective job.

great post

i don't even pray anymore without asking God what to pray and how to pray

which means i have to listen for God and then of course do as He says

i have learned SOOOOO much by asking God what to pray

everyone and their situation is unique

there is no way i can know how to pray properly without asking God to tell me

as the disciples said - Lord teach us to pray - and Jesus said when you pray say...- Luke 11:1-2

God bless you

Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

Jn 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

For some reason, God seems to want to do things by us praying first. Pray is, or at least should be, a conversation with God. Sadly, it often is presented at a one way conversation, us telling Him what we want, instead of a two way conversation, and the more important part of us listening to Him for what He wants. Because it is too often a one way conversation and it too often presented that way, I think the Lord compensates by putting extra emphasis on making it about us listening to Him, for our results. So it seems weird to ask God for what to ask God for, but it does make sense if you think about it.

We don't even know how to pray (talk to God) like we should! Having the Lord's prayer in the Bible is helpful, but it does not cover specific circumstances but our general needs. I pray the Lord's everyday, with a few other things and end with asking the Lord and the Spirit to continue to intercede. The Bible says the Spirit does intercede, but I want to make sure I get the full benefit of that intercession, so I make a specific request for it everyday.

Still, very specific circumstances come up, and I need guidance and understanding for those also. We need to take all thoughts captive to Jesus Christ, and what could be more important than finding out what to pray for? Asking the Lord what to pray for, listening, and then praying that, does then to make us obedient. We wind up doing and saying what the Lord tells us. That is what Jesus said He did.

Jn 12: 50 I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefor the things I speak, I speak just as the Father told Me.

So using Jesus as an example, we should but don't, speak just as the Father tells us. Yet if I can get myself to do that more, and I especially make a better effort when in ministry, then healing happens more often. Jesus said His words are spirit and are life, so His words are going to healing because they are life, even eternal life. That could and seems to mean that the healing, or life, really has a more 'eternal' perspective, but remember the Lord's Prayer? There is a part about His will being done on earth as in heaven. We should see the healing also manifest here on earth, and we do!!

I don't go to many Christian conferences and events, but I have been to a few and like them. I love to see God move. I especially love to see people rejoice in God and what He does. So I loved the healing ministries of some of the men of God. I especially liked a couple of Benny Hinn healing services, where I saw about 500 people claim they got healing from the Lord. I watched and Benny clearly seemed to make an effort to pick up what the Lord told Him and speak it out. He would say someone was getting healed of this or that and people came forward afterwards claiming it was then that got that specific healing. Of course Benny is not the only one. I have seen the same thing of various smaller scales, from maybe a hundred people to five people of about 50 people attending.

I am impressed with all those people who hear the Lord and can speak out what they hear by faith, to a large group. It is hard to believe the Lord for a large group. You mess up then and get it wrong and so many people will know. The healing ministry that I work is much more a personal prayer session, yet He had me speak out healing once in a group of about fifty. The pastor leading the group suddenly turned to me and said I had a word for the group. Indeed the Lord had been talking to me about something, but I didn't know I was going to be called to speak it out. God put me on the spot, that once. So I did and people got healed. Can that happen if we first don't start making it a habit of listening to Him?

So I write way too much about Christians seeking the voice of the Lord. It is important and not only for you. If His people harken to His voice His people get healed, because the Lord says, " am your healer." Ex 15: 26
