My wife and I scour the channels hoping to find quality TV shows we BOTH like. And though it is rare, we do occasionally agree to one we can watch together. Heartland is another Canadian show we like together with When Calls the Heart. Heartand is about a ranching family who struggle through their interpersonal relationships and though there is not much reference to God, they do seem to ultimately resolve their issues using generally Godly principles. We are binge watching and are zipping through the series up to the fifth season now. We watch because it provides a nice temporary escape and because it provides the fantasy of the " what-if" in that we can imagine what it might have been like if we hadn't lost all of our family.
