As it should. I cried with happiness when I saw this picture. God bless you Joe Kirk. :cries:pray And God keep you precious Gregory. Maybe for mothers day someone who knows their mom would love a life long precious companion who's life could be saved when adopted for that special occasion will read this and visit Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. Or any animal shelter that is not designated as a no kill shelter.

Please pass this along. Look at that precious pup's faith. Pure love and gratitude.

Yes. You can tell by the top of the dog's right shoulder that his paw is on Joe's forearm. He's laying his head on Joe's shoulder and touching him too. Amazing emotion shown by that precious little one. Can you look at that face and imagine euthenizing him? Not me.
I couldn't volunteer at the local animal shelter because they were not a no-kill facility. It broke my heart to walk through that facility and see all the dog's and cat's that were barking and meowing when a person entered to see who they wanted to adopt. It was as if they were begging in their sounds to save them.
If I was rich and had a huge property so as to care for them properly, I'd have emptied that shelter. "You get a home! And you get a home! And you get a home!" :thumbsup

The only reason that I was able to volunteer at my local animal shelter is because it was a no-kill. I wouldn't have been able to volunteer there otherwise. I love animals way too much. Except for snakes, I'm not a huge fan of them and truthfully I wouldn't mind so much if somebody decided to kill a snake. After all, they're literally of the devil. :lol It's because of a snake we are cursed with sin anyway.

Yes it is heartbreaking. Once you have seen and heard them it haunts you for the rest of your life. I know what you mean by saying you would take them all, I've felt that too.
When you take one home, I don't think they ever forget you saved them. They are so loyal.

Which is exactly the reason why although I love cats and they are still my favorite animals that I miss having a dog so much. Because cats may be affectionate but although I have heard some stories, most of them don't have it in them to be loyal. Cat spelled backwards is tac, but dog spelled backwards is God. :halo
