I'm totally new here and wished to offer greetings. We live in a semi-rural part of the Ouachita Mountains in west central Arkansas and enjoy a quiet, simple country life.

My wife Martha and I have been married a bit over 50 years (May 27th) and we are both Bible believing, God fearing/praising Christians. Our two adult children also serve and worship Jesus the Christ. We have two other children with the Lord. We live by faith and have seen His wonderful hand many times. I hope to get acquainted with some of you.

Welcome Brother FrankLee to our Christian fellowship in Jesus' name. I once lived three years twenty-four miles outside of Van Buren, Ark and as a kid there were many things other than a quite country life to be experienced. Snakes near everywhere, centipedes seemingly nine inches long, scorpions aplenty, and even a wolf ran up,snatched my dad's leather coat and ran away with it. No electricity or running water made chores a test to not be denied, and trips to the outhouse in the middle of the night something of an adventure. Whew, how did I live through all that?
It's great to have you with with us and I look forward to your posts. :wave2

Hi FrankLee

I'm here to welcome you to our community. For whatever reason you're here, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.
I just realized that I never introduced myself when coming onboard! I just jumped right in and started posting.
Why waste time! I just wanted to get going...

It's good to know a little bit about you. You're lucky that your children know Jesus. What comfort!
One day we'll all be together again - Praise God.

Welcome!

Okay, I get it. Gee, what a way to gain attention. You're beginning to sound like my wife. I'll say something stupid like "Look at that beautiful hair she has." Uh oh, "My hair use to be like that." :nonono What is the matter with me; don't I ever learn?

Please allow me another chance. Hi and welcome dear Sister wondering in Jesus' name. What a wonderful thing it is to have you in our presence. You live in Italy you say? WOW; do they have electricity and running water where you live? Is your food mostly pasta and pizza? I think I remember you once mentioning that without olive oil on it, no one eats it or something like that.

I do hope you realize I'm kidding and we love you as much as if you were one of us. :lol

I am one of you silly!
First of all I grew up in the states and am American by culture.
Second of all, I'M CHRISTIAN!!

And how do you know about pizza and pasta? Are you Italian at heart?
True about the olive oil. Except not on deserts, of course!

Wondering

See what goes on around here FrankLee?
You came to the right place!!

Are you going to translate the saying??

Of course I can.
If the cock on the manure crows, the weather changes, he(it) crows on the chickens house, endures the weather the week.
:hysterical

Yeah. Yeah. I know about this Schultz. I speak Italian, remember.
One more try. In English, please.

Just kidding. I get it. You know very well you can't translate literally...
But, since it's not scriptural, we'll let it go THIS TIME!

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to imply. Please could you be a little more specific?

Are you serious?
I was kidding.

I asked you to translate your signature line which is written in German.
You translated it literally.
You can't do that.
It makes no sense.
You have to translate the meaning, not the words. Which is what I thought - I thought you translated the words literally.

Did I misunderstand everything?

I'm sorry if I did.

No harm done.

My sincere apologies, you clarification is very helpful.
I did translate it literally to try and make it understandable.
The saying means: That despite a persons viewpoint, their thinking can change everything by altering the circumstances.
wondering, I'm sorry if I sounded defensive.
