My real name is Barry and my username is 2tired2floss because I am. Recently retired so I now have much more time to get into the Word of God. I did a Google search of Christian Internet forums and came across this one. Hope it's a good one; I definitely like what I see so far. Any others that y'all would recommend? Thanks!

Maybe you'd like to stick around here for a while :) So far I think this is a very good site. It's my first but I don't see a reason to be disappointed yet. I hope you meet some new friends here, and I'm always available for that if you want..

Welcome 2tired2floss :)

Welcome to CF.net! :wave

The only other english speaking christian internet forum I was part of a while ago was shut down last year.
Any other christian places I can think of are either overcrowded or dead or they have a dictator instead of an admin team.
This here forum is very neat though. You'll find a variety of people and many kinds of christian faith, from creationists to liberal leftist Europeans to non-believers. The admins are very chill and most people here have a rather mature debate culture.
Look around and enjoy yourself!

Hi 2tired2floss, I too am new and so looking forward to be a part of CFs. I had to tell you I love your user name! Probably because I often feel too tired to floss at night after brushing. I force myself because I know I'll suffer and pay in the long run if I don't. (Alright I know I must be honest, once in awhile I do skip it.) I'm envious of my husband because his teeth are perfect and he never gets plaque on them. Hard to believe, but it is true. I never could have imagined I would be posting on a christian forum about teeth flossing! I too have more time on my hands now because I am disabled, so this is a positive way to spend some of my time as I do love talking about the Lord and how awesome He is. God Bless and I hope to see you around.

Redeemed1: I feel your pain. Every day I tell myself, "gotta floss now [in the morning] 'cuz I will be too tired tonight." But I always procrastinate and put it off until bedtime when, often, I don't do it. Thus, my username...

hello to everybody... tell me please: is this forum only for catholic or orthodox....or there is no diference?.... As for me - no difference, but don't want others think anything not very good... Thank you

Hi Holy man and welcome to CF.net. I hope the following directions will help answer your question, and may God bless your time with us in Jesus' name. :wave

ToS Rule 2.2 - Discussion of Catholic doctrine will be allowed in the One on One Debate Forum and End Times forum only. RCC content in the End Times forum should relate to End Times beliefs. Do not start new topics elsewhere or sway existing threads toward a discussion or debate that is Catholic in nature.

1 on 1 debate rule:

1 on 1 debates must be arranged via PM's before the thread is started.
To clarify even further, this is how they should be arranged:

• Two members should agree that they will engage in a debate.
• The scope of their debate needs to be agreed upon between the two of them.
• One of the two members should PM an admin, explaining the first two points. We suggest including the other member in the PM.
Do not start a thread in the 1-on-1 Debate Forum by issuing an open challenge to whomever is willing to accept it.

The reason we have these measures in place is to ensure that at least one of the members is a Christian rooted in scripture. We can't have two members in an uninterrupted discussion if they both generally hold to a doctrine at odds with the core tenets of our faith. For example: both are agnostics/atheists, both reject the Divinity of Christ.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I've checked out a lot of the threads in the various sub-forums and have enjoyed myself immensely. I'm looking forward to reading more and thus learning more daily.

Hi Barry--I've noticed that many times I'm too tired to floss, but not too tired to do other things, so I think for me, I just don't like flossing, or maybe I'm too lazy to floss. Anyway, it's nice to meet you. :)

Barry: YW, God bless and see you around here.

Hey 2tired2floss, How funny, I use to always floss at night but like you I always dreaded it and am always tired at night. So now I try to get it done in the morning, just hate it no matter what time of day. I tried a water pic hoping it could replace flossing. Well the low setting didn't do anything and the high setting made my gums hurt. So much for that. I gotta tell myself, hey flossing is no fun and I always dread it, but at least I have all my teeth,(well almost all) I am missing 3.
