8For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
In our wordl it is VERY tough not to think about our personal wealth. Since I started living on my own, money has been tight. It's a scary thing to know that if I lost my Job, Caroline and I would be in a rough spot. However, while I do have a stomy river of life to navigate, God keeps showing me just enough mercy to stay afloat.
Recently it has become apparent that I have a major throat obstruction which makes breathing very difficult at night. The corrective procedure could end up costing me $1400 when it is all said and done. Last night I had to have a sleep study done to determine just how bad my condition is. It turns out that half my sleep is spent heaving and gasping for air. Needless to say this is a scary condition. What is even scarier is that my monthly income is just $1500, before taxes. I have more than enough reasons to be scared right now, but I am not.
This is because God's ways are indeed higher than ours. I didn't even know I had this condition obviously because I cannot obsevre myself sleeping. God blessed me by joining me to a wife just under 2 months ago who has helped me get on the way to getting this issue treated. Not only did God bless me with someone to notice the condition, but he also blessed me with someone to come home to each day to care for me. Last night when I had my sleep study I smiled from ear to ear and nearly cried knowing that after the night alone i had Caroline waiting there to pick m up @ 5:30 in the morning.
I do not know how I will end up affording the procedure once it is done, but I do know that God is taking care of that too because his ways are higher. I may not have a clear financial future, but I do have a God who is looking out for me and the blessing of a wife to share these trials with. Which would you rather have?
