Every born again person, has received God's Holiness as a free gift...."the gift of righteousness".
God could not accept you if HE does not esteem you equal in holiness to Himself, as this is the reason for and need of salvation, for us all.

Salvation, is defined as "grace through faith", and Grace, is the eternal redemptive "offer" situation which allows God to redeem us, and redemption is the finished work of Grace.
"by God's GRACE you are SAVED and that is not of your doing"...........
You gave God your faith, and God gave you His GRACE, and "where sin abounds, Grace more abounds."
Jesus on the cross, became your sin, and He received willingly, the eternal judgment for all of your sin, for all of your earthly life.
You, as a believer will never pay in eternity for any sin you have ever committed, past, present, or future, because Jesus has already paid with His life and BLOOD, for them all.
God has accepted you the day you were saved, exactly as He accepts you the day you will die, for the only reason He can = the finished work of Jesus on a Cross, (blood atonement = eternal redemption) and for no other reason, especially anything you can physically or mentally do, will He ever accept you.
He will never accept you for what you will do, or have done, of yourself, as God will only accept what Jesus did FOR YOU.
JESUS IS YOUR SALVATION AND YOUR ETERNAL LIFE.
There is no other, including you.

You said that, you want personal holiness, as a lifestyle.
Well................AMEN !!
This will manifest itself in your life more continuously, when you have the revelation that nothing else matters but God and Christ and staying close to them, and serving them the most, with your TIME.
See, if you give God your time, then you are giving Him your everything., as your true GOD in your life, is what is getting most of your time.
The Devil's #1 job is not to make you sick and broke.........but rather its to steal your TIME.
If he has your time, then he has YOU.

There are things you can do that can keep you in that place of Grace and spiritual euphoria that you can have, that God provides to the real ones..
One is bible reading..., lots.
Do you memorize verses?......... you should.
Try memorizing one a day, for the rest of your life, would be a good place to start using some of your free time, better.
Another is to "reckon yourself dead to sin", and understand that sin has no power over you, and in fact you dont sin now, as there is no Law that is being used against you, that can judge you as a "sinner".
That you "reap what you sow", is not the Law administering authority over you......... but that is rather a spiritual reality that is in place in the world, that affects everyone.
Deed are seeds, and you harvest the literal consequence as a result of what you do. ..."sowing and reaping".
But this is not the Law, as "you are redeemed from the curse of the law".........and that is for LIFE, both on this earth and in eternity.
.... Now, this is confusing to many, because they have not been taught Romans 4:8., which says that when you "sin", your sin is not held against you.
And that is a fact of the Grace of God's effect, as God has already honored and accepted a judgment for all your sin, = Christ on a cross, so now, He does not see you as a sinner, but as a justified Son or Daughter of God.
And if you take the time to study Paul's teaching about this, you'll find that he explains that the law is abolished....which means, for a believer, the Law has no right to judge you as a sinner anymore, because it has been removed from you by the blood of Jesus, and the finished work of the cross.
Your entire lifetime sin-debt, has been payed for & paid off by the sinless one, in your place, and on your behalf.
This is why Paul refers to sin when talking about sinners, and he refers to a believer's "work of the flesh", instead of saying you are a sinner.
Much to study there, much freedom there, and much light to be revealed regarding God's Grace if you have an open heart and do not try to spend your life trying to save yourself, after God already did this for you.

Also, regarding holiness and the way to achieve it as a personal lifestyle, is to realize that a good soldier is what we are supposed to be.
We are the army of God, we are the children of the Light, and our weapons are not flesh, but they are spirit.
And a soldier has no time to be getting in trouble, because He is always involved in the fight., and when you stay in the fight, you keep holiness as your mount and the truth as your mind.

Are you a busy Christian?...busy in the holy war ????? = helping, teaching , giving, praying, studying, soul winning, visiting the sick, etc etc etc ???
If there is an old woman in an electric chair in Walmart, and she needs a box of cereal that is on the top shelf, do you get it, or do you not have TIME or care?
See that old woman with all those bags in her cart standing by her car?......... Help her.
See the dirty person with the sign, at the next red light?............GIVE.
Dont avoid being like Jesus, just because you dont feel like it, or can easily talk yourself out of it.
Just do it.
See, If you are in the fight, then you are a holy one, as when you are in the fight, that is the end result.

What is the best ability you can have as a Christian?
Is it to argue on a forum about OSAS?
Is it to try to make Christians worry they can "lose it"?
Listen, the best ability you can have, that you can give GOD, is AVAILABILITY.
Be that all the time for God, and you'll find all the rest lines up like ...........magic.

If you are a time wasting cable TV -Phone texting - Internet fanatic, then you are not in the fight, and you are not holy, as those activities will keep your mind polluted and when that happens, your holiness level is on "empty".
Sure you can only watch "clean" cable TV show, but the commercials are nearly all soft porn, and they make you dirty in your mind, which makes you unholy in your behavior.
There is no debate, so, you just have to be disciplined and control yourself.
When i go to a movie, i close my eyes and dont watch any of the movie previews..........NONE.........and that is because they will put filth in my mind, so, i close my eyes till the movie starts, and i have chosen carefully that also.

Have you ever noticed that to all the people in your life, the new and the old, ......that you talk to them about the bible, Jesus, or similar?
Does this just happen automatically, so that you can say that everyone you know, you've had a conversation with, about spiritual things???
If you can't honestly say that, then you need to get rid of all the activities in your life that are keeping you from being Holy, as all those things are a block to your Holiness.

I may as well relate a story that happened oh maybe not quite 10 years ago or so, can't remember exactly. I was at work training a new employee the 2nd day when suddenly he turns to me and says, "Can I ask you something? Are you in the Ministry?" I was somewhat startled as I had never had anyone say anything like that to me. I told him, "I am a Born Again Christian but just a layman."

I said, "Why do you ask?"

He said, "Because I can feel it on you!" (The anointing, the Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost, etc).

He then informed me he was a Pastor, and took this job to supplement his income. (He Pastored a small Church in Chicago).

When God's Holy Spirit resides within a person, it cannot be contained or hidden. It flows and radiates out of you...
