How do you feel about those super long post? I mean those that take up nearly three times as much space as most answers. I am inclined to skip them. :)

Honestly, they drive me nuts. Especially the ones with extremist opinions either on the uber-uptight conservative Christian extremist side or the uber-uptight liberal agnostic side. There's nothing worse than trying to sift through an entire page of baloney from some oddball website.

Long Post

I generally read the first paragraph -- if it's not too long.
I counted one 'long' post -- by lines on the computer screen once.
It took 15 computer screens (17inch screen) before I got to the next person's post.

It's a good thing I'm not the mod!.....

I try to at least scan them for anything that may infringe upon the rules...hey, I'm a mod; I have to. ;-)

Well I was going to give you a extremely long reply but you might not read it. Lol :-D

I don't like extremely long posts but if I see they have a7 point I try to deal with the length and read the entire thing.

It depends on the subject matter. I'm on another forum where we are discussing DNA, etc regarding tracing true descendents of Israel. When you get into such a subject, the posts get long, However, I tend to reflect and answer what a person says (theirs in italics) and my answer below which breaks up the perceived length. If a post is too long, I'll post double.

I read them but there are times that my eyes go crossed stareing at the screen. :biggrin

Depends on how interested I am in the subject matter being discussed... If I'm interested, I'll read, if not, I'll drop the whole thread because I dont' think it's fair to post without reading EVERYTHING that is in front of you.

Cannot stand 'em. I always think "aww man.......not another book.....?" Sometimes I'll scan them but it really interferes and is tiresome when you're trying to get through alot of posts.

I thought about that after I posted my response.... oh well

I am guilty of writing long posts and giving long references to help server
the point I want to make, and have a difficult time with keeping some of
them short.

I must admit, Yes, sometimes, my posts are way too long.
But, to those that it wasn't relative to....
they could pass it by if they want to.

I believe, short posts are great.
But sometimes long posts are necessary.

If they are not relative to the concern, I skim them.
If they are relative to the concern, I read them all the way through.

Was this post too long? :o

.

I hate those long long post. I do not read them. If someone wants me to study a subject why not say the gest of what you want to say, then give us some examples of where we may go to get that information????
