OK guys let's stick to the subject at hand which is Marriage and Divorce and remarriage.

It is this type of reasoning and rigidity that is void of any type of understanding (Deuteronomy 4:6) that I have never bought into. You may rest your case, and even feel justified. But I am in no way yoked by your line of reasoning anymore than you are to mine.
As far as instrumental music, I have never agreed with the church of Christ doctrine on the matter as it is based on man made reasoning, much in alignment with your above reasoning which only views scripture in narrow terms while avoiding the totality of scripture.
That being said, I do not think it's wrong to not have instruments and I have never advocated them within the church of Christ. It is your tradition...

Now, I have answered your questions, give me the same respect. What should be done where under your understanding, a man marries a woman and by your doctrine, is an adulterer? What does repentance look like?

Could you repharse your last sentence? I'm not quite sure I understand what you are askng. And yes, I have accepted your invitation for debate on the instrument question.

That's what I am talking about. He gave, not God. Yes many things of what he spoke can be found in other scriptures, but yet what he spoke was his opinions and judgement as in his own authority to speak as God only gave him permission to speak, but not what to say.
I think I get ya. Understanding that, my question would be what do you think his opinions/judgements were?

Divorce is no good at all because not only does one have to forsake their spouse to do it, but they forsake God also and His covenant with us. Marriage isn't just between man and woman but with God also. A three stranded cord is not easily broken.

Luke 16:18
Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.

1Co 7:10

To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her
husband (but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband),
and the husband should not divorce his wife.

I've looked at this issue and discussed it with people. From what I can conclude it is adultery. When the Jewish leaders asked Jesus why Moses allowed them to divorce Jesus pointed to the creation.

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matt. 19:4-6 KJV)

Jesus said, what God has joined let not man put asunder. He used the imperative mood which indicates a command.
