How is interracial marriages viewed in the eyes of God?

How does God view interracial marriages or dating? Does the Church accept it? I know how some places outside of the church are dead set against interracial mingling, but what does God say about a couple who happens to be of different races? Your thoughts?

How hateful people can be is really sickening, isn't it? Do you KNOW how hard it is for me to tolerate my inlaws and be respectful? I don't want to be as hateful at them so I just plaster on a fake smile, ignore their ignorant comments and then unfortunately for DH, I usually explode as soon as they leave our house or we leave theirs. there have been many times I've had to stand up at his parents and just say to my DH "It's time to go. Now. Time to go. We need to let the dogs out.".

Be careful that you do not become as hateful toward them. 1 John 4 says that if you say you love God by hate your brother you are a liar. I had always pointed that scripture at my father-in-law, a true bigot, when God pointed it at ME. I had grown to dispise him. In God's eyes I was as bad as he was. Sin is sin. So pray for them. Jesus said Father forgive them for they know not what they do while He was hanging on a cross. Pray that God fill you with His forgiving love for them.

Making the grandchild pee outside and the daughter allows that? Wow! I guess she rebelled against her parents. I can't understand how people claim to be Christians love God, but hate people of color. I'm thankful that my friend doesn't look at his future wife as being a white woman with blond hair. Literally, he fell in love with her heart, her mind and her devotion to Christ. It's like a fairy tale how they met. My only concern is that he is oblivious to the world view and I know that there are some ignorant and cruel people out there who won't see the love of Christ in their relationship and look at it as a black/white thing. To me, where we live, it is so common now, that you would think that people really don't think twice about it. It seems to be the norm. Thanks for the feedback. You guys and girls are great.

The daughter is really no better. She too claims to be a christian, but she's out sleeping with many different men, partying, drinking, etc. She and her ex gave up custody of her two "white" children to her parents. She kept the biracial child. It's a HUGE mess.

The two white children already have a lot of hatred towards the biracial child. I can understand why though. I would be angry too because I would wonder why my mom kept her and not me. The mother is extremely immature and life is all about her. The biracial child already has a LOT of behavioral problems because of the way she's being raised. She's gotten kicked out of 3 preschools/after school programs. Her mother doesn't know HOW to be a mother. She never was to her other 2 kids.

The oldest is now 16 and I just hope she doesn't rebel out of anger. My mother in law said she's thinking about getting her some counseling because the anger has started to surface these past 2 years. When the mother says she's coming over, the 16 year old gets tense, angry and sometimes cries. It would be best if the mother just stay away.

We Love each other the way Jesus teaches us through the word of God. So I believe God has no problem with our interacial marriage. Other interacial couples may be different. I ]would not call West African and Jamaican bi-racial..Remember the slaves came from West Africa so the ethnicity is the same.. White and black is what I think the OP is discussing. Only ignorant people oppose biracial marriages.

I think this goes for not only race, but also faith - all things are spiritual to God.
We are all children of God, no matter what race or religion.
However... as someone in a marriage in which we have grown different ways, spiritually, ideally, a couple is on the same page, about aspects that are important (ie religious involvement).

I'm black with some Cherokee thrown there from my mom's side. My wife's white and of Russian descent (raised Jewish but became Messianic). Our love for the Lord and each other is real. Skin color has no bearing.

In Canada, the largest city of which is Toronto - known sometimes as the most racially diverse city in the world - any professing Christians trying to promote a supposed white supremacist or segregationist view of the gospel and fellowship and personal relationships, would not get very far.

The Jews were forbidden to intermarry with seven nations from Canaan. I don't remember if there were restrictions on marrying Amalekites, but they were to be blotted out, too. There were specific laws that allowed Jewish men to marry war brides from other people-groups from nations far away.

Otherwise, I don't know of any restrictions in the Old Testament related to intermarriage among Gentile people-groups.... no laws against Nubians marrying Greeks or Arabs marrying Philistines.

It is simple: As long as a male member of the human race marries a female member of the HUMAN RACE it is acceptable unto God.

Unfortunately that does not silence bigots, nor does it prevent some uncomfortable issues from popping up later, such as "Who am I?" as a question of identity and affiliation.

Since I married a Puerto Rican, my extended family has white skin, brown skin and black skin. One distant relative, a black Mormon is also a model for a cosmetics company "bobby something" and it specialized in products for women of color.

I don't think He thinks about it at all, because there are no "different races." There is one race: Human. Period. The question is -- forgive me -- somewhat narrow minded.

Only thing Bible says is about marriage between believers and unbelievers. That should not be encouraged or desired.. It does not say anything about interracial marriages.. In the OT days, God did not allow Israelites to marry anyone outside of their nation/tribe. Because Israel was God's chosen nation.. He did not want them to mingle with the outside people. The same is applicable today.. By faith, we all become Abraham's descendants.. God still does not want his children to mingle with outside world.. Race does not come into picture.. Only faith is in question here..
